I was reading Roissy's Chicks Dig Jerks: Norwegian Terrorist Gets Love Letters In Jail thread, and saw this gem of a comment by Riff Dog.

Then, after a couple months, pick a decent one and tell her you’ve “escaped.” Have her meet you somewhere where you can bang her. Might as well have her bring money, too. You know, because you just escaped from prison and all.

Actually, i don't think it has anything to do with the sentiment that the women want to change the killer.

I think it has to do with the fact that on the most primal instinctual level for women, these men are the tip top alphas. They kill other men and women and survive. I think that these women cant rationalize their feeling for these men that far, all they know is that the murderer makes their vagina's tingle something fierce.

Additionally, Bundy was an exceptional looking man. Therefore, you have a combination of almost model good looks and a murderer without conscience. He dominated women and killed them. Many women have domination fantasies that end right before their fantasized death.

This isn't a politically correct analysis but I think that it goes a lot further in explaining the phenomenon of women's obsession with killers.

I'll bet hard cash that there are a decent amount of men who already do at least part of this. Set up profiles on the various pen-friend/death-row dating sites pretending to be some famous murderer - just to mess with these low-life bitches. Actually if there is even a single male sociology student who is not a mangina he should do this for research purposes. What he'll discover will definitely be nothing like what is written in his textbooks or pontificated by his professors.

Personally I have such a low opinion of women who swoon over death-row inmates I wouldn't want them under any circumstances. It's easy to understand the evo-biological background and "why" they swoon, but it's also easy to understand, biologically, "why" a small number of men rape. If a woman is such a hostage to her biology, and has such an extreme lack of self-control, that she swoons over these scumbags she's at exactly the same level as an actual (as oposed to falsely accused) male rapist in my mind.

Anyone have any data on these sort of women? I know Roissy/CR/Hearty claims they are likely young and hot since these are the women who most need an Alpha, but in the few cases I've seem the women are middle-aged and frumpy. So I don't know.

I can't imagine these girls are young and hot. Like you, the ones I always see are middle aged and frumpy. (I'd be very interested if some sociologist student really did this and would publish the results.)

Just because hotties love an alpha bad boy doesn't mean that they want it in the extreme. Especially a sick extreme. Hot girls want just the right amount of alpha bad boy.

It's kinda like how I love big tits. But that doesn't mean I want some extreme porn girl with 62FFFFF's. I want juuust the right amount.

So, whats the logic? She cant control her sexual attraction and so she's equivalent to a rapist, even though if she consummated a relationship with a murderer it would be consensual?

No. I mean she's on the same LEVEL as a rapist in that both don't have approprite self-control over their extreme sexual urges. Most people who understand evolutionary psychology can understand why both these women, and rapists, act the way they do. But society wouldn't exist if any behaviour was deemed A OK just because it was "natural".

If these womens fantacies were only in their heads no one would know or care that this is how they were getting off. But in writting and visiting murderers in prison they are enabling and rewarding their behaviour, which goes against the idea of prison being, you know, a punishment.

I'm revolted and I don't even know anyone who has been a victim of one of the men who are written to. If I actually knew a victim, and ever met a woman who had written to their murderer in this way who knows what I would do. Spitting in their face would be the least of it.

It would be better if the people who were allowed to be in contact with convicted murderers in prison (wardens, counselors, clergy etc.) were required to be heterosexual men. Having women in that position is just too fraught. Obviously I realise this isn't possible legally.
