Mostly the advice here is just bad Game cause y’all have a basic understanding of Game at best.

Not selling any books here or presenting any crazy ideas that aren’t tested. I just have an actual understanding of Game and know the tech and don’t fall back on the I’m a middle aged short dude in a mid tier city so I need xyz mentality.

If you actually took time to learn some Game, your results would improve, but instead people seem to be content with struggling along as a Mediocre and dispensing Mediocre advice based on a Mediocre experience.

Social frame

The issue is you conflate things like good looks for Game when really it is just a way to hit the social frame (ie whether a girl thinks you are socially ok to smash)

If you are a slob and step to a girl in front of her friends, of course she will blow you out cause the social frame is shit.

If you don’t understand why certain lines work, of course you will go out and use them and get blown out. Cause you’ll be delivering uncalibrated stuff with no understanding of how it is hitting any of the keys for the girl you’re working on.

If you have Zero understanding of verbals and how to work through a girls emotional hang ups around sex and remove barriers from your shared experience and hit all the keys during a convo so that she is stimulated, aroused and also feels it is ok to smash you because you don’t judge and won’t stress her, then yes you will run in to issues.

So instead of learning any of those things you’re stuck in this Game denial headspace where you think only looks and tattoos will get a girl to sleep with you first night while other guys are resigned to the same Mediocre existence you currently reside in.

The thing is all of that can change with some simple work on actual Game.

But if you’re stubbornly refusing to learn how Game actually works then you’ll continue on in Mediocre land and bring a bunch of the guys that read stuff here along with you.

Only if the "FAQ" is read as "făk" rather than as "EFF A QUE". However, since it is typically read as "făk" in the absence of periods, "F.A.Q." it probably should have been written, "A FAQ on Modern Game."

I always read FAQ as individual letters, so I did not experience aggravation due to the title.

Actually, I do believe that Hank Moody is very much a lawyer, given that he tells us that he bangs "strippers" but lawyerly leaves out the details of what the strippers actually looked like.

For example, the following woman is a professional stripper.



However, that's not normally the image you conjure up when someone tells you that they "bang strippers."

I've never considered that people would read each individual letter like that, when you point it out it becomes extremely obvious to me. I'll still continue to read it as "fak" however.

I'm pretty open about my height, and how it affects my ability to pickup women.

It's funny, because on the one hand, if I'm like "Yeah we met these girls and they weren't interested, said my height was a turnoff" I get smacked with people saying I have "limiting beliefs." A few months ago I got a girl naked in my bedroom, and when I went for the bang, she was like "I just can't get over the height thing." That literally happened.

On the other hand, if I say "Yeah, I banged this one girl, she was a straight up 9, and didn't care about my height", it's delusions of grandeur.

The reality is, when I hang out with my taller friends, a lot more girls approach them. Girls are also way more open to being approached.

I did a thread about this a few years ago, but one night I was out with my very tall buddy and women just kept coming up to us (him). It was insane. He was almost annoyed.

Does my height limit the girls I can pull? Honestly, yes it does. At the very least, it makes it more challenging. Some dudes can master jiu jitsu quickly just by virtue of being athletic, other dudes have to hit the mat every single day just to keep up. I fall in the latter category.

That doesn't mean to stop trying, it just makes things a bit more difficult.

A few year ago I did pretty well on OkCupid. It's more message centric. Kyle Trouble's book was pretty helpful (Cracking OkCupid).

After a breakup, apparently OkC is all tumbleweeds and now everyone is on Tinder / Bumble. I got almost nothing off Tinder (still true). I posted a thread about whether OKC is dead, and whether now it's all swipe apps.

I asked my buddy (who is like 6'5 with tattoos) how he gets so much poon on Tinder, and his response was "put a picture of yourself on there with a big dog and show off your tattoos." (I don't have tats or a dog -- I look like Joe Philly Suburbs).

My buddy works in finance, and on any given day wears a suit and tie. Drives a BMW, dresses super sharply, yadda yadda. He put a picture of himself on there in dress clothes and got nothing. Then he switched it up to a picture of himself in a tight t-shirt, tattoos, and his giant dog. Lo and behold, he was awash in poon. My man now dominates Tinder. It's incredible.

Is this a thing? I don't know.

I wrote a post about it (I don't remember if it was a thread or just a post). Now it's sort of an inside joke that I try and reference in all my threads, because it pisses Rocha off...

So, what have we learned? The secret to Tinder women is tats, height, and a big dog.

I wish it were that easy, that game were a magic pill that allowed any schlub to pick up dimes with ease, just for spitting the right shit and having the right swag.

Realistically, attraction is a complex set of feelings that involves swag, spit, style, and a level of physical chemistry. Some women simply aren't attracted to short guys, just like some men aren't attracted to tall girls. Some women don't like black guys, white guys, Indian guys, whatever, and the same is true for some men. Attraction is way more than just reading a few books and being able to emulate what's in them. Sometimes you can game your way around physical attraction, other times you can't. That's life.

Anyone who claims that any guy can have any woman just by having great game is either selling a book or has never actually tried to pick up a woman in real life.
