So i'm staying in Bangkok for just under 3 months this winter. I would like to fit Bali, Manila, Beijing (some friends are saying Shanghai is better, any advice?), Singapore, and Hong Kong into the trip, like 3-4 day trips to each. I have not been to any of the above except Bangkok (which I love).

The primary purpose of this trip is getting as many flags as possible, but I do like to take time to enjoy the culture, sightsee, etc.

Are any of the above cities just not worth going to? Which of the above are best done on weekends (for night life purposes)?

Side note, I have my girlfriend coming to visit me for 2 weeks, she's willing to go anywhere but hates Thailand, which of the above cities are worst for gaming girls, so I can use that time on her?

I'll caveat this by saying I've never been to Indonesia or the Philippines, but if you're strictly going for flags both of those are a piece of cake to pick up in HK if you don't mind possibly settling for a 6 or so.

Shanghai is awesome, haven't really been to Beijing since I was a kid so can't speak to there, Singapore is pretty boring from a tourist perspective. It would be a cool place to live as you can get a social circle and use it as a jumping-off point to other parts of Asia, but for a weekend I'd give it a pass.

Singapore the weak link in all of these... Either avoid it or take your girlfriend there.
