Technically the coin landed on tails and they still arrested her. In the exchange below prior to the coin clip, they said:

Tails = Let the motorist go without an arrest.

There's no proof that the coin flip influenced their decision.

The officers decided to charge Webb with going too fast for conditions and reckless driving. Brown then arrested Webb, handcuffing her and putting her in the back of a patrol car. Webb was crying as she walked into the police cruiser. She called her employer to let her know of her arrest. Webb was not aware of the coin flip until 11 Alive obtained the video and informed her of the footage.

If they're smart* they can argue that they were just joking between themselves(if they weren't they would've let go afterall), and the coin app didn't influence their actual decision, because it didn't. This doesn't change that it was a stupid/tasteless joke that should've have been made on a mic.(Aside: I used to work with neurologist who would crack crass jokes while dissecting human brains so I imagine people in all professions do silly/unprofessional things sometimes).

Webb is upset that they didn't go with the results of the coin flip, I would be too honestly haha.

This is going to blow over and they'll be back on the road in a few weeks.

All three chicks in the video are retards.

Chick that got pulled over for driving recklessly. And for opening her car door. And then she gets pulled over and immediately jumps on her phone, most likely to text her job that she'll be late for getting pulled over. All around she sucks at life. She sucks in her interaction, in admitting guilt, in how she handled the situation.

The female officer doesn't sound like she's elligibe for mall security, let alone police work.

All 3 of these women shouldn't have driver's licenses or the right to vote. If there were ever prime candidates for stay-at-home women, it's them. Keep them chained to a stove and pray to god they don't burn your toast, because even that's a tall order.

Re: the bolded. She's not texting. Look at her fingers, she scrolling not typing. Most insurance companies have electronic insurance cards that you can display on your phone or mobile device. Lady even says at 1:10, she doesn't have it printed off, "it" being her insurance card. E-cards are common in most US states now.

I like the arresting officer's logical suggestion.

Yeah, because distracted driving in hazardous conditions is infinitely preferable to speeding in hazardous conditions.

Also, kind of interesting how obsessed people working in law and order are with coins deciding outcomes. First Gotham District Attorney Harvey "Two-Face" Dent and now these two!

The leftist and feminist idea that women are the rational and more compassionate gender is batshit insane.

We have a ton of experiences from history of women being in charge and it usually was worse than if men were holding power. Sure - there are many exceptions on all sides, but this kind of thing is nothing new.

Women should not be front-line police officers anyway - this is just another example of why not.

They had every right to arrest the driver, and they did. Stuff like this is one of the few things that keeps police officers from going postal, this should go on Americas Funniest Police Videos. If anything, they where flipping it to see if they let her go to avoid bothering with booking a reckless driver, and instead decided that the driver was too dumb to stay alive if they let her go.

Brown said she "didn’t have speed detection," but the other officer pointed out that the body camera recorded her cruiser’s speed, which would have shown how fast she was going to catch up to Webb.

"Hold on," Brown was then said, as she opened a coin flip app on her phone. Wilson suggested that heads should mean arrest and tails should mean release. Brown agreed and flipped the coin in the app.

When the station reported on the incident, the charges against Webb were dropped and she called for the cops to be fired.
