However soon after it was released, a Melbourne mother took to the brand’s Facebook page to fire off criticism.

"Boys will be held accountable for their actions. I hate to see an Australian store, who makes such great pjs, put such a sexist statement on a t-shirt intended for young boys," Bridie Harris wrote.

"Excusing boys of their behaviour is not a step in the right direction. It’s 2018."

Peter Alexander confirmed the top was being taken off their shelves yesterday in response to complaints.

"We do not tolerate the behaviour that is being associated with this slogan," the statement published by the Sydney Morning Herald read.

The choice for the brand to can the top has triggered a mixed response online, with some arguing there was "nothing inappropriate" about the garment.

"This is ridiculous. Are we starting to strip the innocence away from children? The shirt is just saying kids will be kids," TODAY Show viewer Sophie Cannell posted.

Fellow viewer Phillip Bryant said: "What’s more offensive to me is that the company succumbed to the opinions of just a few parents."

“Hi Bridie. I just wanted to update you and again thank you for taking the time to get in touch with us and bringing this to our attention,” the post began.

“We do not tolerate the behaviour that is being associated with this slogan. In the light of your feedback, we have decided to withdraw this item from sale.”

Women are so oppressed that one bored mother can post an otherwise unremarkable comment about an item of clothing they don't like, then have this unremarkable comment picked up by national media outlets. These media outlets portray the matter as if them covering (and blowing up) the story had nothing to do with its "popularity". The corporation is then "forced" to take action and kowtow to five people.

The sample sizes for these "outrage" pieces are ridiculously small.

Women like this have far too much time on their hands for indulging in the fake grievance industry.

It's simply mindless, soulless attention-seeking. Evidently this woman is the mother of a son who will grow up with his female parent suspecting him of being a demon with a "rape switch" if she doesn't beat every ounce of his "toxic" masculinity out of him through social media virtue-signaling and other forms of online posturing.

The fault lies with Peter Alexander the company, who pulled the product with one or two complaints vs plenty of support. A dismissive "we're sorry you feel that way" would be more than sufficient to wave off the silly complaints, and still make plenty of profits from the storm in a tea cup controversy.

These days I feel many of these companies are more interested in virtue signaling than making money.

When I was growing up, my little sister had this shirt that I would see her wear and which I would wash along with everyone else's clothes when it was my turn to do laundry. My parents either bought it for her or she received it as a gift from someone as she was still too young to have any money at the time but, either way, I never heard any complaints about it. Even at that age and as indoctrinated as I was by my elders, I could still sense that something was amiss and I wanted to trash that shirt.

I'm beginning to understand that the "never hit a woman" propaganda is almost as bad as giving women the vote. Violence against women should be the rarest of occurrences, and any man who hits a women except in these rare circumstances is a little bitch. But when the underlying threat is removed, you end up with cocky cunts like this - bitches who are completely convinced that their irrationality is the infallible truth. And what's worse is that they won't shut up about it.

Any women who is 100% sure that societal expectations will protect her from violence of any kind, or at least that the perpetrators will be severely punished, will eventually poison the world with her unconstrained irrationality. I sure know that my life would have taken a much improved trajectory if my dad had slapped my mother on a few occasions.

It's really the threat of violence that keeps men in line (be it from random men or law enforcement).

Western civilization got a weird idea somewhere along the line that an exception should be made for women.

I'd never punch a woman unless she was wielding something dangerous. But I've grabbed out of line women by the throat and pressed them against the wall a couple times. Quieted them pretty quick. Pretty sure they got a little bit wet too.
