Hi friends, I went to Kampala the last year. I love Kampala and its people. The last year I rented an apartment close to Acacia mall. When I will go there again, I'd like to stay in another place/area where I can meet many people like in Acacia.

Hey WPussy. I am with you. I too fell in love with Kampala. Went there for a Murchison Falls 3-Day Safari to see the Big 5 (which ended up being the Big 4) and had a blast. Anyhow, as you know, depends on your budget of course. Of course if you want the whole Disney World Orlando experience, no better place than the Kampala Serena Hotel on Kintu Road. Of course the Serena is expensive and unsure if they will not frown on girls accompanying you to your room each night as they attract a much more corporate clientele. Another option (however even far more elaborate than the Serena) is a Muyenga Luxury Vacation Home, located in Muyenga, Kampala. This place is off-the-chart luxurious, however, bring your wallet. There is also Munyonyo Luxury Apartment close to the Amusement Park. It is nice, but dated. However, more forgiving to bringing femme-fatales to your room, as there are side entrances for guests with a key. All three of these options, free you from any of the rift-raft and favor-seekers roaming the streets.

While I was in Kampala, my friends and I stayed at the “Tick Hotel” for $25/night. The standard rate is $32/night however because there were 4 of us, were able to negotiate a lower rate. The “Tick” is just outside the city center and very safe. The rooms were clean, staff pleasant and professional and unexpected excellent complimentary breakfast. When I travel abroad, I like to save money on lodging for other activities I am there to enjoy. Unless you are loaded, and money is not a consideration, than I would strongly suggest the “Tick”. Maybe I am just miserly, but I always enjoy myself more when I know I received a great deal on lodging. Keep in mind, the community surrounding the “Tick” is not of the caliber of the three choices above, however, for the price, the best overall pick in the surrounding Kampala area.
