As for your analysis of Sofia, you're spot-on: way too many tourists.
There is nothing alpha about serbs . Most of them are normal guys who just stay around or drink all day.
I don't know what is your definition about alpha....
The same with with bulgarians.
If bulgarians would have been some how alpha, they would have not allowed their country getting turned into a semi brothel by all these disgusting english guys that think of Bulgaria as some kind of Thailand in balkans.

Those cheap airlines have destroyed everything.
Maybe they think of that because Bulgaria is indeed a mega brothel??
Bulgarian prostitutes are found in every EU country and the bulgarian state GDP is depended somehow on sex tourism.... like 8 -10% of the GDP comes from those disgusting English guys that visit Bulgaria.

RE: I don't recommend Bulgaria...
Americans infinitely worse, although no reasonable Brit can disagree that there is a sizable minority of homegrown riff raff that travel on Ryanair, Easyjet etc, Americans are consistently repulsive as travellers.
Its hard for Yanks to assimilate into European culture, loud inane behaviour, the majority have complete ignorance about the lands in which they step foot, they need help with absolutely everything "Oh my gawd, howd I make my phone work here!!"..."How do i find an apartment?". It's no surprise that Yanks are often at the bottom of the pile when it comes to getting laid in Europe, American culture is diametrically opposed to that of Europe (apart from all the shit that comes from America like fast food) Even if Europeans speak different languages they still gel better with other Europeans than with yanks.
Dress is another thing, no European girl is going to take a Yank seriously who wears baseball caps, Cargo shorts, hiking boots and bum bags. Europe is the centre of civilisation, dress appropriately FFS.
The Yanks that are more tolerable are the ones who have spent extended time in Europe and have somewhat assimilated.
There is a reason Yanks are into game - they are mostly useless and need all the help they can get

Please post a new rule on the forum : virgins not allowed. Fuck a few sluts and come back here when you're a man.
Don't bash a man for being honest nor is his virginity relevant. I recently had a very close friend in his 30's admit to being a virgin. It was a lot of fun helping him through the loss of it and watching him grow into being the man he wants to be.
Myself a few friends including a forum member worked to get him out of his head and become more confident. I'm no big time playboy but everyone on this forum was at one point a virgin and I'm sure some viewing still are.
My friend was no less of a man because he lacked experience in the bedroom. He is well educated, financially secure and not a troll. Due to some social pressures, upbringing, politics and western media unfortunately made him terrified of girls and insecure.
Not all of us had fathers like mine that literally made it his life mission to make sure I did not become a pussy.
Although I think this thread is a bit generalized and premature. At least the OP is seeking to improve himself and station in life and better yet honest about where he's starting out. Also he's traveling off the beaten path and getting some solid life and travel experience.
Not trying to virtue signal but no point in bashing guys for expressing their experience somewhere. At least members on here know some data on where he's at in everything and some guys with Bulgaria experiance can help him out.
Unless you have some data to help him have a better experience in Bulgaria keep your fucking mouth shut.
OP I pm'ed you

The issue is all the Brits are over here in Europe, because of easyjet and ryanair. They're British and Irish airlines, so they're going to fly to Europe.
Here's some good advise for all the brits out there, and other people that want to avoid horrible countrymen: just look for a place where Ryanair, Easyjet, et al don't fly.
Of course Sofia in hindsight was a magnet for easyjetters: it's I think, the cheapest EU capitol.
I don't blame people going to cheap places, rather they just need to learn a bit about the place first.

Well yeah it happened, more than anything was interested in seeing EU's cheapest country, thought it would have some interesting culture to check out, as it is, i think, the oldest country in the world. Also, I am exploring the balkans, so it is probably worth visiting before Kosovo or Bosnia, first. But who knows really? Also, wanted to check out the girls, there was not much talk about them on the forum, so I decided to be the forum contrarian for this trip
Quote:I was being a bit cheeky, but maybe it didn't come off well
Americans can attract trouble by being loud and obnoxious.
Quote:I am with some Serbs, but as is typical for the serbs, they drink, yell loudly, take their shirts off, and help me look for people to potentially fight. it has been good so far, but they have been drinking too much.
Sounds like classy company you keep, and you complain about British tourists?
Being a bit hyperbolic here, was trying to go for a gonzo recitation of my nights out with the Serb brothers. Apparently a lot think the stereotypes I'm listing out here are 100 percent true. Not the case at all. What I'm getting at, is that there are strange nexus of tourists converging in Sofia, leading to very strange results (in many way I guess this would be like the Baltic states currently, or places like Krakow. There were Americans noticable, people from all over the former Yugoslav countries, Turks, Brits, Germans, and the list goes on. Again, my point is this city is heavily globalized for Eastern Europe. Prepare expectations accordingly.
Quote:But I had a taxi driver that I nearly fought because he refused to allow us to carry a bottle of vodka in the trunk.
Why would a taxi driver care about having a bottle of Vodka in the trunk? You said that you are a pacifist, yet you almost got in a fight about it?
Misunderstanding I'm sure, or maybe too many people for one taxi.

Don't forget Wizzair
So from promoting Serbia, you are now saying it's not a good place to go because Ryanair fly there?
The irony is, from slating the British tourists, you and your Serbian friends seem to have acted worse on your trip, getting wasted, walking around shirtless looking for fights, provoking other tourists, almost coming to blows with a taxi driver because he won't let you take vodka in his taxi.
From my experience with Serbians they never act like what you have described, apart from the some minority of football hooligans

Doesn't bother me that you're bringing that up about me, only forum rule that's significant to the context of discussion is No Women Allowed. This is a self-improvement/pua forum-- some people have to start at zero, well, actually everyone starts at zero...
Also, enjoy the info on Sofia, maybe you will like it better than me, I just had a strange experience, which I was pretty up-front about.
Your profile appears to be pretty new: maybe I hurt the feeling of some Brits and Bulgarians, but the guys that lived there (foreigner and native), confirmed my pre-formed opinion that Sofia isn't worth it for a game trip. They've already given some advise that sounds pretty good to me, especially Varna.

Don't forget Wizzair you're right of course. My main point is there are a lot of destinations in C and E europe that are low-budget destinations. I don't think that's quite happened in belgrade yet, but tourism numbers are rising.
So from promoting Serbia, you are now saying it's not a good place to go because Ryanair fly there?

I'm pretty sure at some point we had a multi-national gang composed of serbs, bulgariains, turks, and others barhopping. And no, they weren't walking shirtless at midnight on a night out that would be ridiculous. Well the Brits were the provokers, but hey what does it matter. My point is, you'll definitely find them via the loud yelling before you see them. Not close to blows with the drivers, I think some of us just started yelling or raising our voices, not worth it to do this to some poor innocent bloke, but that ones on us. I think it's probably better to refuse a fare, than to let some idiots in, and have his life/ car be put at risk.
From my experience with Serbians they never act like what you have described, apart from the some minority of football hooligans Serbs seem similar, in terms of being loud and cutting up in public. But nothing at all like local hooligans here, they're on another level.

RE: I don't recommend Bulgaria...
I liked Bulgaria, but liked Plovdiv A LOT better than Sofia. I was planning to live there and open my online business, due to the low taxes in Bulgaria (10% flat income tax).
For a holiday I would definitely recommend Plovdiv. Has a better vibe, some roman history/architecture, everything walkable, good weather,..
I did felt a bit lonely, and for some reason it was hard to make friends there. Happy I saw it. After Plovdiv, I went one week to Istanbul, and that's a whole different story, one of my favorite cities in Europe right now together with Barcelona.

You sound like a guy who attaches his stature and ability to game a girl to a pickup line. A pickup line really doesn't matter. It's what happens the following min, 5 mins, 10 mins, etc, later. It's your ability to converse, spark interest and maintain dialogue.
Telling a girl she's beautiful has nothing to do with putting her on a pedestal unless your follow up actions and tone reflect you putting her on a pedestal. My larger point was my example reflected the ability to drop a few lines in Bulgarian, show interest and a brief understanding of their culture within the first 15 secs. That usually works in a place like Bulgaria. I didn't over think my example, just as no confident person would.
But you're right, I don't need to open by remarking on beauty. I can open over a loaf of bread or a bus ticket. Makes no difference.
