WaPost Filmaker learns hard truth about female fertility
I honestly believe that one of the greatest failings of modern sex education is that it is almost entirely focused on preventing teen pregnancy, and does little to prepare women for the other side of the coin -- that they have to start getting serious about starting a family in their 20s, and that may mean reconsidering the idea that women can always have it all.

Link is to Part 2. But in Part 1 she discusses how she left her previous relationship because they were "not compatible." Compatible ... rather than complimentary, which is what men and women are supposed to be....

I thought time was on my side. Then I got my test results for egg freezing.

Quote:By December we’d said, “I love you,” met each other’s parents and traveled internationally as a couple. We talked about moving in together when our leases ended, then about marriage, kids and all the fixings of a happily-ever-after.

But as the honeymoon phase faded, it became glaringly clear that we weren’t truly compatible. We bumped heads constantly and, at pivotal times of need, we’d read each other wrong and fail to find respite from the outside world in each other. A younger version of myself may have stuck it out for a few more months, afraid of abandoning the dream of a future I’d become so attached to. But I knew it wasn’t what I wanted, so I walked away.

Sometimes I want to feel bad for women that can't have children, having one of the most precious gifts in life taken away from you because of nature. Is it that women are truly that naive in believing they can put it off to the last moment with no fertility problems or are they truly being stupid in their life choices? I think it's definitely alittle of both and it's hard to call out women constantly for this (not advocating consoling her either).

How many of us have traveled overseas or at home that have met women that would make a great wife/mother but we thrown it away to get notches. I'm not bashing the men who do this but I consistently see men on here talking shit on women ( I've done it as well) for their dick riding phase, meanwhile they are doing it themselves. There has to be a few times in your life when you hit 30 that you came across at least 1-3 women that checked off most on the list of what we are looking for in terms of being a mother/wife.

Within the past few years I met a few older gentlemen, some married (20-35 years so far) some not, saying that you get a few chances in life when you come across a truly good woman for you.

I have been with enough women in my life to know that i would probably much happier if i married the *one* instead of dealing with what we have today.

This is coming from someone who has been raised from a broken home, seen way too many financial rape divorces caused by women, been with enough women to know the dangers but also let the good ones slip through the cracks. We have to ask ourselves if we want a family or do we want to fuck around for life. My views on life are starting to change about having your cake and eating it too method. Based on it's hard to find a suitable woman whereas here you are spinning plates all day. Again I'm guilty of this as well.

Damn. I duped myself. Thought I hadn't posted because RVF is now blocked at work. Saved up links I wanted to post.

That's hilarious! You were the one who started the original thread that is duped by this thread! The other thread is pretty good too.

I wonder if this is an RVF first?
