I don't think you should worry about the words themselves, you should be more concerned with an overall teasing attitude and knowing how to calibrate this teasing, setting the back and forth movement that they like so much.

What is most important is to keep the funny / teasing vibe going back and forth, toning down, toning up, dependind on the situation.

And I find that a bad example of a 'neg'. It seems too calculated and not very funny / clever.

I should just get into that funny/teasing mood, and the right words just pop out by themselves.

It is the state of mind/spirit that is more important.

Actually have you ever heard of "throw and go"?

Essentially you throw the neg, and then go no with whatever you want to talk about. You don't have to build upon it or justify it. Just lead it out.

Dudes shouldn't be sweating negs, this shit got overplayed by mystery and those guys. A lot of newbies get caught up on the neg and don't execute it properly and end up "scaring the cat away."

Negs should only really be used on girls that are in the 7.5 + range, or that have inflated egos and/or high bitch shields. The exception are "playful negs" which are my favorite, an example of this would be the backhanded compliment. "Nice sweater, it looks like something my grandmother would have knit", this is best said with a slight playful smirk. Okay, so that example might be a bit cheesy, but I think you guys get the idea.

If you straight up tell a girl that her dress is ugly, that's a lot harder to get a good reply, than "cool dress, I bet you spent hours rummaging through some hipster thrift shop to find it."

Good luck, and don't get caught up on the neg, and don't neg a girl and stand there silently like a shmuck, keep convo flowing at all times.

I like to use a neg in a group setting if you are ignoring your target and she buds in, you could say something off the cuff to the group like 'is she always like this or is she always this needy?' but you dont dwell on it. Nor should you always use negs, they are not essential. It's just another trick to have up your sleeve.
