When movements like this really happen the law of unintended consequences tends to kick in. There's a lot of ideological pipe smoking going on on both sides.

Here at RvF we just happen to have a collection of men who mostly agree on the same things but I won't even pretend that this isn't also an echo chamber of sorts. I can go on some shitlib hive like reddit and find a sub espousing the same opposite views with just as much fervent faith that their side will prevail.

I figure most of the actual elites on both sides will also be sitting safely behind gated communities or abroad in island paradises if the cannon fodder from all these groups start shooting each other in some hypothetical civil conflict.

I doubt it will somehow become the epic civilization battle royale between the mainstream versions of la eme vs aryan brotherhood vs black gorilla family anyhow.

The state will start cracking down hard with RICO and warrants being thrown around everywhere before it ever gets to that point. The reason it's not at that point yet is because there is no clear threat display to the power structure. The alt right isn't even mainstream enough to astro turf yet...

I would give all this movement rhetoric a decade max to show actual gains in the form of a political voting bloc which outright represents these views or a real attempted revolutionary coup. I put this at a decade simply because at that point their leaders (mostly Gen X'ers) will be getting up there in age. Plus the alt right has issues with internal funding which prevents a sustained mainstream push.

There's also the issue of keeping the more antsy fringe members at bay for more than that amount of time who are itching for a bit of the ole' ultraviolence if no visible progress is being made.

People are making the mistake of thinking the alt-right drives race relations rather than the other way around.
