RE: Branding yourself ?

I want to start this thread about how to brand yourself in two locations
1- The corporate environment
2- Gaming women environment.
To me the whole point of branding yourself is to do something outside of the corporate environment and honestly the general populus opinion of people in the "gaming environment" isn't really a positive one so I would avoid associating your name and personal brand with that. While many Entrepreneur Gurus started otu in that field most seem to talk as if they outgrew it.
Personal branding to me has more to do with building your authority within a certain niche, could be health, could be a hobby, a sport, a business, and using that brand to sell courses, sell products, sell consulting, etc.

RE: Branding yourself ?
1) Corporate, or just business
There are a lot of variables as to what advice would be better, but I think one that is to a large extent universal is to not try and push yourself out there, to sell yourself and appear desperate. I know one guy who set himself up in business years ago. He's always giving his service away, giving out discount cards and all-round making himself look like the cheapest hack in town, which he is, but making it so obvious doesn't help his cause.
I saw a reference to a study recently (can't find the link) in which it was found people feel a greater association with music they buy, as opposed to download for free. The deduction was that the personal investment means you feel you have more of a stake in the band. It's more real. Your investment in downloading free music gives you less of a reason to evaluate the content.
I experienced something similar when I bought something for a considerable sum. It had several extras to the main item, which were of absolutely no use to me, but because I'd paid so much for the overall product, my initial reaction was that I had to properly process those parts (they were databases). If I had just downloaded all of them for free, I would probably have instantly deleted the extra parts I had no use for.
You can apply the same principle to women by not making yourself appear like low hanging fruit with bad hygiene, fitness, clothes, attitude, frame.

We move between light and shadow, mutually influencing and being influenced through shades of gray...
