My dog has a tendency to jump up on the bed in the middle of the night and slowly creep up next to me. He weighs 60lbs or so and weighs down the blankets which drives me nuts because I roll around a lot when I sleep and need a blanket on top of me. Normally a pretty decent shove gets the message across and he goes back to his doggy bed.

How the fuck is this relevant to this thread?

Well, a girl was sleeping over and was hot, so she slept on top of the blankets. In my sleep, I assume this thing on top of my blankets is my dog, and WHAM! Off the side of the bed she goes! I am woken by a very pissed off young lady wondering just what the hell is wrong with me that I would be so mean in the middle of the night. I can sense it about to happen, I'm about to get fully awoken, she's gonna leave, I'm gonna have to get up and go lock the door, no morning sex.

Luckily, my dog is the ultimate wing, as he chooses that moment to hop on the bed and fall right the fuck asleep next to me. It's like he knew she was about to be on some bullshit and decided to put a stop to that right there and then by giving her a demonstration and a lesson in "You move, you lose". He gets sent back to his doggy bed, she hops back in the bed, I fall back asleep within minutes. Crisis averted. She doesn't sleep on top of the blankets anymore when she's over.
