As most of you have guessed from the heading probably ,I am tad over forty.My preferred age range for dating is 20-24

I am lucky to have been blessed with "asian" type soft elastic skin and take good care of my body and face, though I am not asian.

Average guesses from men and females are in 33-35 range, when my body fat was above 23%.Current body fat is 18% and I have developed a new wardrobe with MTM suit and jackets.

For Tinder and other online dating profiles I assume stating age in my profile above 29 is a serious limitation in terms of matching with 20-24 range.

Has anyone over 40 or late thirties tried stating their age less than thirty and have their dates been able to pick that up when meeting in person. I am not sure if most girl in 20-24 age are intelligent enough to pick that.

Interested to hear others experience..

The only place I have found that age will hurt you is with online dating with the females pre-selection criteria. In person you should project enough frame that telling them your real age doesn't matter. It's a bit unnerving at first but that is just a feeling. Accomplished men do not let their feeling dictate their actions. Have some lines available to you if/when they shit test you on your age and continue game from there. I struggled with this for a long time but after consistently dating women 12 years younger even here in America I have come to realize that age doesn't matter if you have tight inner game and decent outer game. I agree to both of your points and have done that in person and worked.

The issue I posted for is that in Tinder a female of age 20-24 will keep her match range max probably to 29. In that case even if I have good profile , images, style etc. just by setting my age above 30, she will never see my profile. Whats the way around that

CC, You do the same thing half the 18-22 year olds do that had FB before they were old enough...you lie about it for pre-selection and note your "real" age in the details. Then, have a good line on why your Tinder age is so low (typo, whatever).

Online game pre-selection is just another hurdle to get over so you can get to what you're good at in your 40's...in-person game.

I'm in my late 20s and I'm starting to think if I should put 30+ when I get to that point myself. Maybe Ill forever be 29.

And no, most women can't tell how old men are, especially if they are slim or fit and don't have a wild ass beard.

Online in the West, just lie.

You'll get filtered out more online in the West otherwise, sometimes by girls who would actually be proactive about hitting on you if they ever saw you in real life.

If you think women won't lie to you, about how many men they've slept with before you, about how many men they're seeing while they're seeing you, about who that last text was from, about what their face actually looks like (by covering it with makeup), about their level of sanity, or about their height (by wearing heels), then you are not being realistic.

Every woman is bilingual, because every woman speaks at least two languages, her native tongue, and lies.

The difference is most men, when they lie, they don't have enough practice, so in the back of their mind they know they're lying and make posts like these, whereas women lie so much they become so good at it that they actually believe their lies.

Just lie and if it ever comes up just say you lied because in real life girls wouldn't filter you out over your age, so it wouldn't make sense to put your real age as you'd be doing girls a disservice by depriving them of the chance to meet you. If she's looking for a reborn Christ-like figure who's never told a lie, she can keep looking for eternity, otherwise, you're good.

In real life, I would lean towards being truthful, as then you would be getting judged accurately as opposed to the instant filtering that happens online due to age.

I'm 33 lately girl guessed I'm 24. They often ask me what I study. Only few of them guessed my age within 3 years range. But I never tell them. This number means too much for them.

I'm 48 and I say 38 in my profile. Two girls this weekend, 20+27. Add them together and they are still less than my age, lol. Neither busted me on my age, even though my beard just went about 80% gray and I'm not dying it any more (I usually dye it but have been having allergic reactions).

Keep in mind that mid to late 20s chicks are probably lying about their age, height, weight, etc. so they are the last one who is going to call you on it. Also, cognitive dissonance and confirmation bias apply - if you create attraction, her brain will actively ignore things that are inconsistent with her attraction.

In real life, I game chicks under 25 all the time. No one ever asks my age, no one has blown me out. Age doesn't come up. If she is interacting with you it means she is interested despite your age. Now, the difference between in real life and online is with online they self select for older men, so you are talking to a group who have already gotten comfortable with that. The in real life chicks are wondering what happens when you meet their friends, parents, all sort of irrational fears they have so a lot of the numbers will flake. But don't use that as an excuse, use that as motivation to do an insta-date or push as far as you can on the initial meet. Also, let her know you are not looking to be her everyday boyfriend and meet her friends, parents etc. but just want to enjoy each others company in private.
