For me it was kinda obvious since there were soooo many gay scenes in House of Cards. I thought it was kinda weird that they'd have them randomly in there.... I guess my suspicions are now confirmed.

I think Spacey's 'coming out' (good thing I was sitting down when I read the news ) is a smokescreen.

This reminds me of the former New Jersey governor who was married but a closeted homosexual, and he gave his boyfriend a sinecure, highly paid government job (for which he was unqualified), in addition to roping in his security detail for late night visits to this man and others. When caught, he made a proud pronouncement about how he was a 'gay-american' and could finally live the life he wanted, blah blah blah, playing the brave victim card and eliciting sympathy when in reality his crime, or the thing he did wrong (wasting taxpayer money on boyfriends) was completely swept under the rug.

Everyone knows Spacey is gay already- the point here is not the 'shocking' revelation, but hoping that the 'shock' distracts everyone from the real story- that he tried to have sex with a 14 year-old, which if I'm not mistaken is rape.
