The venue was sort of my bad. We finished dinner and drinks at a very high end restaurant that closed at midnight. We dropped into this venue because we were walking to a nice rooftop bar. However, my date is freezing and we needed somewhere warm to catch an Uber from. We get to this place, and my date was like "I really like it here!" (contrived hipster dive bar with a cool cocktail menu). It's usually a good spot.

I actually knew the bartender, but she was too swamped to do anything except take my drink order. Plus, I feel like getting management involved is like tattling to the teacher. If it were dudes, I'd be picking fights.

Part of me thought about "spilling" a drink on one of the ham beasts and then being like "You bumped into our table and spilled my drink." But when dealing with SJWs, they probably would have called the cops and said I threw it at them, used profanity, and made threats. Not dealing with SJW liars who hate the cops except when they don't.

In hindsight, I just should simply Ubered from the restaurant to a higher end bar. My takeaway is not to go to hipster bars dressed nicely with a hot chick.

It just drives me nuts that these ham beasts can act like a group of rowdy frat boys and no one can do anything about it. At least I can talk shit or fight the frat boys. But there is nothing you can do about a group of fat college chicks...

Any advice that gears you into being confrontational is bad.

There is no winning against a large group - be it guys, girls, mixed, whatever.

Best case scenario is them leaving or shutting up after the manager talks to them - but there's a 1% chance of it happening, probably lower if they're drunk.

Bad case is you or the management confront them and they double down on noise and aggression.

Worst case is things escalate, they pull a gun or knife, start a brawl, cops get involved, your date gets hurt, you miss out on the bang, have to deal with health or legal issues, etc.

You were having a good time - why spoil things?

NEVER take matters into your own hands in these kinds of situations. Don't make yourself a target for something so stupid. Let the management take the blame - it's THEIR responsibility.

Even your reaction to confront the walking soy pod is something I wouldn't have done, and I'm pretty sure I can hold my on in a fight against much bigger guys.

I would just have stared at the guy and asked him if he's cool. Maybe "Do you mind?" and point to his hand. Followed by "Thanks, man". He would have taken the hint and there would probably be no blowback.

If I'm at a bar where other patrons are being loud, I call the server or manager and ask them to move me and my party to a different table. If they can't or if I'm still bothered, leaving is always the best option.

Specially if you're with a date, that's just the perfect excuse to take her to your place!

When alcohol is involved, any confrontation equals too much to lose and too little to win.

Real talk, sounds like the perfect excuse to leave and find another place or even better, take her home with you.

No point in subjecting yourself to that apart from a primal urge to get involved. Resist the drama and shit, nothing good can come out of it.

If you do stick around might as well entertain yourself without getting swept into their drama tornado and frame.

Horrible advice, imo. SJWs will no doubt call the police and you'll get picked up for "brandishing," and that's true in nearly any major city.

FWIW, I don't think Hank could have handled it any better than he did, other than calling out the manager and either forcing his/her hand or leaving with his date.

I don't live in a major city, I live in a small crappy one with apathetic cops.

If I were in OP's shoes, same location as him, I wouldn't brandish my gun, I'd just leave. But If I got confronted the same way he did in MY city I'd brandish the gun.

My local cops wouldn't give a shit. They also wouldn't give a shit if I got beat up inside a bar by 4 belligerent drunks, and the drunks would know that.

I brought up the gun thing not because I think OP should have done that, but to stress the point that you've got to read your location to decide if you should let a confrontation slide, or stand your ground. If you think letting it slide is the smart thing to do (and it often is), then do that. It's not cowardly in that case.

There's that, and I get that, but in the old days in some cultures, when you were a guest, you turned in your weapons and your host was responsible for your safety. One point of view is that you don't have a relationship with these people, you don't need to get involved in anything with them. On the other hand, you're a customer of the business, and they should take care of it before there's trouble, both for your sake and for their own. I'm not interested in having it out in somebody else's bar. The owner doesn't need that shit.

When there's been times where I've had to make a complaint about something, unless you're obviously just a straight-up arsonist or something equally crazy, I'm going to talk to you like an adult once and let you get your shit together and then we'll be on good terms. I had a somewhat similar experience recently where I just had to walk away and laugh at a dumb bitch instead of actually doing what the situation truly called for. Even though I know it was the right choice, it's not easy to accept. I had to blame myself for knowingly sticking my dick in crazy and just get past it. But it made me realize just how fragile your position as a man can be in a society where everything favors women, even obnoxious, disgusting lunatic women. It reminded me why I hate what Western societies have become and doubt the viability of any kind of serious relationship in places where women have every advantage over men. What is even worse, the SJW cunts and their cucks and white knights are spreading this disease all over the world as we speak. In short, it's the kind of situation that makes you say: fuck this gay earth. But you play the hand you're dealt, and I think you played it well.
