I think some people on here just instinctively worship getting laid to the point that they will side with and idolize anyone who does. It's important to keep in mind that this guy wasn't in any way "running game" and should not be looked up to as such. His behavior was that of a scumbag, not a casanova. That doesn't necessarily preclude "gold digging" in the spirit of the term rather than the actual knowledge. It's fairly common that in elite circles for marriages to be medieval style and more or less arranged to someone with the "right" lineage. Those marriages are very much business arrangements for reproduction and status while it is implicitly understood that both will be fucking around with some sidepieces.

It's also often the case in tight knit ethnic communities for marriages to be run that way.

They do it either with a clear goal in mind - or simply as an attempt to make money as what they believe is adapting to the times.

It's hard to tell how much power Hollywood actually has; do they actually influence politics or is it the other way around and the producers are just trying to make money? Multinational corporations obviously push social justice, but they might also just do it because they see it as adapting. 'Shaping society' comes second to making money.

But Foxman said he is proud of the accomplishments of American Jews. "I think Jews are disproportionately represented in the creative industry. They're disproportionate as lawyers and probably medicine here as well," he said. He argues that this does not mean that Jews make pro-Jewish movies any more than they do pro-Jewish surgery. Though other countries, I've noticed, aren't so big on circumcision.

I appreciate Foxman's concerns. And maybe my life spent in a New Jersey-New York/Bay Area-L.A. pro-Semitic cocoon has left me naive. But I don't care if Americans think we're running the news media, Hollywood, Wall Street or the government. I just care that we get to keep running them.

Pride cometh before the fall. Nobody can argue with a straight face that left-wing Jews don't run Hollywood with an iron grip. So true, C. This was basically the reason for the little kerfuffle that popped up on the Hefner thread, because all of this is applicable verbatim to the head of another media conglomerate who fucked model-whores thirsty for the limelight, which certain posters believed to be game. Physically Hefner is a bit less repulsive than the cartoon-like Miramax studio head, because his personal image was part of his brand, but the dynamics are exactly the same.


A lot of good can potentially come out of this, but I think they'll just thrown him to the lions, close ranks and move on. As Bosch pointed out, they only went after Weinstein because he made a movie that was critical of Israel, and because there was a power struggle with his brother at the top of his waning media empire. So now they can dump him and pretend that it's all good now because they got rid of the one bad apple in the industry.

There's a bit more to it than this. Blacks don't do as well academically because the social fabric of their communities has been demolished (fatherless, ghetto culture, rampant drug use, no role models etc). Their culture has been debased, young black men have come to think that doing well in school is against their cultural identity.

Consider the recent drop-off in the academic performance of boys, they are increasingly lagging behind. That's not due to boys becoming dumber, but to the hostile, misandrous cultural environments affecting their performance.

Consider also the marked increase in college applications in the wake of the Cosby Show, which portrayed the black college experience in a good light (pat of the reason Cosby is persecuted today).
