This forum seems very rich with people knowledgeable about TRT from what I have read. How do you think someone who works offshore (rigs and ships for example) and consequently travels a lot should approach TRT as a lifestyle?

Say you work 4 weeks on 4 weeks off on a rotation for the sake of example:

While at home you do Test propionate every 2nd day with aromasin and possible hcg to mitigate side-effects. I guess cyponiate or omradren or whatever can work also depending on preferences.

Then when you go to travel you do a 4 week traditional ‘PCT’ with clomid/nolvadex/aromasin.

Then when you come back home you go back on TRT again.

The advantages of this would be:
- Bringing liquids/pills whilst traveling is a lot easier and will draw far less attention that needles and vials
- When you work offshore keeping needles/vials is virtually impossible because even if you aren’t stopped at customs on the way (obviously prescription will stop that problem) you won’t have any private refrigerators where you can keep your vials and you can’t really dispose of used needles anywhere.
- Pills are far more convenient in such an environment.
- Clomid/Nolva despite restoring testosterone levels anecdotally seem to have side effects one of which is often reported as being lowered libido. Working offshore this is a GOD-SEND not a bad thing when there are no releases for sexual energy (unless you go gay for example)

The only disadvantage I can think of is long-term consequences of constantly coming off TRT and jump starting your HPTA. Would your body eventually become de-sensitized to this ‘cycle?’ to the point where TRT doesn’t even work anymore?

What are your thoughts on this?

I've read that T pills are often very hard on the liver and it is highly recommended that you use either topical creams or injections. I use a TRT topical cream, but it expires in only a month after the compounding pharmacist makes it, which means I couldn't take more than a one month's supply anywhere. Needles and liquid T seem like the way to go if you are gone for longer periods. Just need to find a way to secure them and dispose of any waste in a safe manner. If you have a doctor's note in the first place for the stuff, I'm sure your employer would be accommodating.

How can you not dispose of needles when you're on an offshore rig in the middle if the ocean?

This isn't TRT. You don't come off TRT. What you are talking about doing is the cycle of steroids.

You don't refrigerate vials of test.

Test pills? No. Injectable bro.

TRT is not cycling.

At TRT dosages you really don't need to worry about using aromasin.

Test propionate makes no sense for trt. You should use cyp or enanthate.

If you have a script for TRT then why wouldn't you be allowed to bring it on an off shore rig? If you don't then you can put a vitamin B12 sticker on the label of your black market vial and tell security that you inject it weekly.

Traveling internationally with bottles and needles will always cause you to get enhanced screening whether you are coming or going.

Russia, China, Mexico, Ecuador, Turkey, USA, Switzerland, France... are all countries I've brought vials and needles to and from, with no problems, no screening, no nothing. Checked in, or carry on, it doesn't matter.

Security doesn't give a shit about those things. How many diabetics are there with vials and needles? I've never seen someone screened for medication. Security cares more about lighters and laptops not being taken out if your carry on.

Agreed. Never got asked questions at airports.

But it's always a good idea to carry a script with you every where you go. Or at least a doctor's travel letter listing all the medications.

Some of the TRT stuff is available over the counter in non-Western countries. Easy walk into pharmacy, walk out 5 minutes later. But sometimes they may ask questions "why do you need this and that?" or "do you have a prescription?"

I recently got questioned at a pharmacy when I tried to buy 3 vials of HCG, and I showed them my prescription on my phone. They still were dubious because of the dosages and stuff, but I offered to buy just two vials and they agreed.

To answer your question more seriously OP, as someone who has worked offshore before, you won't have a problem so long as you have a prescription from a doctor, TRT is just like any other medicine that people take. As long as it doesn't impair your ability to do your job, then you are legally allowed to use your medicine on an offshore rig, but it has to be declared. At the heliport your bags will be run through an Xray machine and be inspected you'll also have to walk through a metal detector where you'll be searched again with a wand. All supplements/vitamins have to be put in a separate bag and declared and they are inspected by a paramedic when you arrive on the rig.

Offshore can be a great place to make some gains as its an all-you-can-eat buffet three times a day, the gyms are usually decent and you can't drink alcohol or party at all out there. During my last hitch offshore I injected 500 mgs of test enanthate (twice the amout I was using at the time) the night before I left for the job, I didn't take any with me so spent three weeks without injecting. I ate like a machine, hit the gym hard and went to sleep at 8:30 every night, I gained five pounds during that hitch.

I wouldn't recommend taking underground stuff offshore, I was joking about the B12 thing, its just not worth risking your job for.

Yeah to those who correctly identified I was confusing cycling with TRT: I guess cycling is what one had in mind. A month of test followed by a month of PCT, rinse and repeat.

The reason I was under the impression propionate was best because of most stable blood levels was after hearing Mike Cerno in his podcast with BigJay. In Poland where one’s experimental hamster spends most of his time it looks like only omradren (which is a blend of 4 different test esters which release over different time periods) is available. He also spends a lot of time in Ukraine where one hears test is far more available. If anyone knows more about this please let us know. I don’t know if it would be as easy as in like Mexico where they give you androgel over the counter (don’t know about injectables though).

@Scotian, thanks for your response. One has been working offshore for many years and actually the only time bags were ever searched in the way you described was on oil rig jobs involving transportation by chopper. On vessels/ships however they almost never check (though they can do random spot checks to check for drugs/booze though one has never seen this happen). Wouldn't risk it though as being a strapping late 20 year old whose test levels would never be low enough to qualify, and so getting a script would be incredibly hard if not impossible. Need to check about Poland/Ukraine though

Did you feel good the entire 3 weeks? I was under the impression enanthate had a 1 week half-life. Even the aforementioned omradren seems to be good for 2 weeks at the maximum. I tend to be away 4+ weeks
