The Metatron (named after the biblical Archangel) just had a bunch of his videos demonetized. Never heard of him? What dark corner of the manosphere/alt right/neo-nazi party did he come from? None...he's a nerd that talks about ancient armor and tactics. The closest he gets to political is describing why the Spartans beat the Persians or explaining why women weren't commonly warriors when you're fighting hand to hand.

The following vid is overlong, but follow the links to his highly inoffensive (and educational) that got demonetized just to get a picture on how low the bar is set right now.

A lot of youtubers are complaining about demonetization. At first it looked like it was a censorship plot for right wing channels, now I'm starting to think Youtube algorithms suck and any reports can get a video demonetized. It is that and maybe a mix of youtubers lying to get more patreon bucks.

Really like his videos; looks like a shitty bot is demonetizing videos across the board. Youtube should be responding quicker than they are to complaints. If they don't they're leaving the door open to another platform taking their business. Arrogance and inaction by companies usually costs them in the long run.

Maybe it's because of "violence". I was watching a video today from a veterinarian who operates for free on homeless and abandoned puppies, and his videos have been getting demonetized too, he suspects because of surgery footage. Even homeless puppies aren't safe from it, for chrissakes!

I wouldn't be surprised if this is just a cynical two part ploy.

One, demonetise as many videos as you can because you can still run ads on them and make money without having to compensate the content creator.

Two, take political heat off of google by claiming that right wing political videos are just a small fraction of a huge number of videos that have been demonetised.

Alternately this is actually a right wing troll job to destroy public sympathy for Youtube.

The moral panic over the radicalism in the Alt Reich is being used as an excuse to censor anything that doesn't fit with the mainstream narrative, especially things like Pizzagate.

I have been for some time subscribed to his channel and on some similar ones since I enjoy reading and watching this kind of stuff. What happened here is evidence that either youtube is so out of touch with reality or that its algorithms such bigly.

Interestingly, Metatron in one point in video above refers to red haired feminists as feminazis.

This is happening all over the web. If you are a content provider, at any moment, you can be accused of being a troll or hunted down by killer AI bots. We provide all the content that makes the system work, but get zero respect. We need a new civil rights movement for content providers. I got down on one knee this morning.
