I try to stay positive, so I would rate London for career opportunities and that covers most fields.

Also there are decent nightlife spots if you are into niche things such as blues jazz, although there will be cities doing a lot better in that field.

Martial arts and sports, most of these you can find here, which is something I’ve come to appreciate.

Nightlife tends to be very aggressive here and overpriced which probably ties into the male v female competition. Throw into that a lot of cocaine (not that I do any of that) overpriced booze and complete utter reprehensible cunts roaming around, and you got an accurate picture of it.

High taxes, high cost of living and very high rent for housing. From a 30K salary you probably taking 2k per month. That’s not tying in pension costs.

To rent a studio, you will be looking at least 1.1K a month. Otherwise you’ll be flat sharing with strangers mostly on 650-700, and that’s not covering council tax. There are no ways around it, move further afield but you’ll have to pay a bomb on commuting in and out.

Most of the time you’ll be living in shit areas as well, and get treated with contempt by the locals who look at you like youre prey if you dress for work.

So I wouldn’t even consider London unless you are on at least 45K. Which is probably a reason why a lot of normal girls moving to London are now turning towards escorting.

Which moves on to a previous point, even with a high salary, you won’t have much success with girls. Even the 6 out of 10 girls new to the city quickly get sponsors or boyfriends, there is an abundance of men making decent salaries in London, who are in relatively good shape and can talk the talk.

Political correctness at work - don’t date female colleagues, it is not worth it, no need to expand on this. Also watch what you say, you need to get into a mindset of a Vice journalist if you are to live in this city. Crime, the murder rate is actually low in London and lower than it was 15 years ago, but violent crime is still quite high. I genuinely wouldn’t confront people on the streets or on public transportation because there are a lot of mental health cases knocking around and many of them carry knives, that’s not counting the teenage gang members. The court system is in the defendant’s favour in London and false/cross allegations will usually be substantiated nowadays due to a list of reasons that I can’t be bothered to go into.

So basically shut up, pay your taxes and know your place

There's a book by Nassim Talem called Antifragile: Things That Gain From Disorder. Great book in my opinion, it talks about hardship and adversity and how these give you a thicker skin.

For example if you want to build muscle, you go to the gym, and you push yourself to lift heavier and heavier every time. This is what makes you stronger.
