A small update :

So I'm starting my sole proprietorship from 2018 ( I'm starting in 2018 for fiscal reasons after my bookkeeper recommended this to me).
I will focus on the following things:

1. Dropshipping ( I calculated that I would need about 1000€ Start capital to start this successfully up, I already know which products I will sell. I will work with Aliexpress)
2. Freelancing ( If I don't make enough money with dropshipping at start , I will do some freelance work such as customer service, virtual assistant to have some cash coming in )
3. Niche websites ( I have a good idea to have a website about a certain product / country, If Freelancing and Dropshipping doesn't work I'll focus on this. This will be more for the long term, Dropshipping and Freelancing is meant to make fast money)

Note: I have around 8.000€ savings right now.

So where i'm heading now and what in worst case if I run out of money?

Asia. The exact destination has been undecided yet, the end of January I'm leaving. I'm just back for a week in West-Europe after 1 month and half in China travelling / visiting one of my main girls before. I've pinned it down to 2 destinations where I could work locally in Case I'd run out of money and still could save up some money: Vietnam and Taiwan, so probably I'm travelling first to Jakarta/Manilla/Cebu / Bangkok for a month and then head to Ho chi Min City or Taipei to have as my base. I'm aiming at teaching in Vietnam ( i'm a non native English speaker with 0% teaching experience but I heard it's pretty easy to get a teaching job in Vietnam) and in Taiwan I can have a working holiday visa for a year, so I can set up my base camp in Taipei and I want to bring my mandarin to another level, so Taipei is ideal for this. The only thing that gets to my mind is that Taipei gets a bit boring after a month of 2.

So why Did I chose for Asia instead of Latin America?
One of my gamegoals for 2018 is to increase my notch count significantly and collecting a lot of flags. Asia is a better option for this than Latin America. Also, I want to take my mandarin to another level, so plenty of oppurtunities for this in Asia. Also, safety and local work oppurtunities are way better in Asia. I don't see myself working like example in Mexico or Colombia for 500$ in worst case scenario.

I'm excited and a bit scared at the same time for this adventure .

Sounds awesome, good luck! All of those cities that you mentioned are great. I'd avoid Taipei though until you get a decent cashflow going as you can get by if needs be in any of those other cities with the amount of money you'd be spending on rent alone in Taipei.

My advice would be to get started creating your websites now so that when you arrive, you can hit the ground running. Also, when you arrive, get a co-working space and work from there for at least a few hours every day. It will force you to actually do the work and not be distracted. Also, you will probably meet some people doing what you aspire to do which I never had until I went to those places. I tried to do what you're doing twice and the first time I failed but the second time I succeeded and the big difference the second time around was joining a co-working space.

Boring is not always a bad thing. I got stuck somewhere for 6 months due to business and at the end of the 6 months I was in the best shape of my life and my business had the best advances ever.

So where am I now?

I've been travelling for the last 6 months in Asia (Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan) and I've been back to Europe for a month. Now I'm permantly in Shanghai and I'd stay here for at least a year if everything goes all right with my visa, this is my base camp now. Why did I choose for Shanghai?

- People work very hard here, which motivates me + Good entrepreneur Scene
- Endless supply of Chinese and foreign pussy
- I'm importing goods from China, so easier to maintain relationships with suppliers
- Possibility to learn chinese
- Excellent Nightlife Scene

What am I doing from job?

I'm working half-time on my dropshipping business, I'd sell for about 700-800€ a month right now. I hope to increase this in the next few months. I will have a personal mentor for my dropshipping business in about a week , so I hope my sales will increase ( I especially face some problems with finding reliable suppliers on aliexpress). I also deregistered my business in my homecountry in Europe because I was paying to much taxes and I will register it again when I make a decent living from it. ( In another country)

And for the other half time I'm working here in a kindergarten as an English teacher, this give me an income from about 900€ a month. And I live in a shared flat, which is okay. ( I'm just living above poverty level right now, but I still feel kinda happy).

Second what others have already said....

If you're mid 20's put in a few years to build a passive/semi passive dollar income and a foundation at home if you can.

Your dollars will go far on the ground and you don't ever want to be grinding for local peanuts.

Even 5 years. Seems like a long time, but the payoff will be worth it.

The 900 euro is from my teaching part time job only. I hate to work for Chinese companies btw ( They cut your salary often for whatever reason, I miss them European companies).

I also made a profile on upwork and all the other main freelance websites to get some side job in customer service or virtual assistant but they didn't even accept me on most websites, only freelancer.com did but I was competing with Filipino's and Indians who were charging a few euro's each hour.

I will look into Niche websites soon. Do you guys think learning graphic design or Web development is worth it?
