To go a little deeper...evolution-wise women are wired to hitch their wagons onto men. Even when trying to exercise "smart" judgment about which guy to hitch to, anytime you are merely a passenger you are at the mercy of the driver's zigs and zags. This leads women to be consumed with trying to predict the future and based on that guess (accurate or not) spin men's action through subtle manipulation rather than making the future happen directly through self-initiative.
