When I watch two women in porn, I may or may not like it depending on the scene. But when I see or even imagine two women kissing or doing whatever in real life, whether it's real or fake, it pisses me off. There's something about it that disgusts me.

I once saw two girls kissing in a club many years ago and it really annoyed me. They were attention whoring of course, but even if they were real lesbians and it was all real, it would have annoyed me still, although maybe not as much.

When it's done as a performance for my enjoyment (porn), I like it, because there's no other factors. It's just looking at something nice. But when it's two real lesbians all I can think of is why, why go with a girl (unless they're ugly in which case I really don't care, although I still would find it a slightly irritating). And when it's attention whoring it's the worst, because it's hard to enjoy it knowing that it's not a real performance, rather it's just for attention and I don't appreciate that.

Actually I think this dude's asking a legitimate question, even though he might have phrased it differently. I think he's just trying to ask:

Why is it that lesbianism "on screen" can be titillating and arousing for him, but that lesbianism "in person" seems sterile and pathetic?

My answer is this: This holds true for a lot of things. A lot of things seem interesting, cool, or erotic when you imagine it. But then when you're faced with the reality of it, it seems very different.

Call it the power of imagination. I think this points out the fact that sexual stimulation is to a large degree in the mind. Something is erotic because our minds make it so.

For me it's more to do with disgust. When I see it in porn I can just enjoy the aesthetics without any other factors getting in the way, but when it's real (or just two girls putting on a fake show), it reminds me that on some level I frown on it.

I agree, that's true, it is infuriating. Although I was thinking just in general. If it's ugly+ugly, it's merely annoying. If it's ugly+hot, it's fucked up. But even if it's hot+hot (and it's not porn), it irritates me. Like if I was to see two genuine lesbians (both hot) kissing, I would be annoyed. Even if they weren't attention whoring. I've thought about that a lot, and I don't think it's a case of them being flexible. I think it's more a case of them not being disgusted by it as much as men.

If you ask a man to do some gay shit and if for whatever reason he does it, he'll be extremely disgusted with himself.

But if you ask a woman to mess around with another woman and she does it, she won't have as much of an extreme reaction to it. She might think yuck, that wasn't my cup of tea, but she won't be horrified either. And I think people confuse their high disgust threshold with being fluid.

As for being turned on by watching women, I think it's because they just like the idea of being pleasured, so when they see a woman being pleasured (by anybody), she projects it onto herself.

I think that out of all women who claim to be bisexual, or bicurious or to some extent turned on by women, it's mostly bullshit. Women get turned on watching animals fucking. They get turned on hearing and reading words. They get turned on by ideas.
