For me, somewhere in New Mexico, Arizona, or Washington State. Boise sounds like it has everything I like in a city - namely the outdoors, nice people, and the slower speed of life - but I've never been there so I suppose I'll have to check it out.

NYC has a ton of plus points when it comes to pussy targets as you have mentioned. There are transplants both domestic & international constantly flowing in & out of the city. Problem is, the COL is quite astronomical & the government is rather socialist in nature. It is a work hard / play hard city especially in the white collar sense, but the stress in the air is rather palpable sometimes.

Yeah true. It's pretty crummy from some point in November through about April or so. Some years are worse than others. But NYC is maybe 8 to 10 degrees warmer sometimes than other northern cities such as Chicago.

But folks that are loaded in NYC usually have an escape pad elsewhere. Like Southern Florida for example.

NYC - Quantity/Quality & career prospects.
Charlotte- Really cool vibe to the city. I liked it.

I'm currently in NYC now.

It's a great city if you are still into partying, getting laid, and networking. It is no doubt the best place in the USA, if not the world, to rack up as many notches as possible in the least amount of time.

However, the downsides are that rent is incredibly expensive (rent is even $1,000+ a month in the outskirt areas of Harlem and the Bronx, which are shitholes), it's hard to form long-term friends, everyone is stressed out, in a hurry, or pretty rude, and it's very easy to get distracted (not ideal if you're trying to start a business, trying to focus on getting location-independent, etc.), it smells like shit, and it's very hard to find your long-term partner because everyone is dating and fucking around.

I'm at a stage now though where I want to be in a quieter, cleaner, more slow-paced, and a smaller community feel.

I'll be looking at smaller cities out of the northeast such as Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland...or even the outskirt areas of NY and MA where there are more rural towns

Everyone is always up to something - whether it's starting their own startup, to being incredibly career-focused, to getting something out of you, working non-stop, or just having other plans. Even in all of the events I went to, everyone was busy doing their own thing. A lot of people come to NYC with the mindset that they will leave in a few years, so it's hard to form real long-term friendships.

The city is so distracting and fast-paced that people forget about each other in an instant. I'll have to admit - there have been times when I have been the same way too.

Not my experience at all tbh, I made some great friends there but then again I did have roommates and was a regular at a few bars. As for long-term friendships, I'd argue that is tough to form in the US in general unless you really get involved in some niche groups made for it (religion is one).

I still made good friends in NYC but I lived in a younger neighborhood.

Miami and Tampa I go back and fourth with Love florida's climate warm weather year round. Miami international city, latinas, beaches, tourists from all over, tampa is nice colleges and white girls less traffic congestion people are friendlier. Still good nightlife and logistics are better for me here.
