I always assumed Roosh was famous enough that even your average short-bus Reddit user could identify him. The average Reddit user's IQ is room temperature, and their belief that the Roosh meme is related to Swedish terrorism supports that.

For those who are not American (or British/Australian/Canadian I assume) the phrase "run over by a truck" is a hyperbole that implies a woman is ugly.
