Quote:George recently got out of a hellish 20-year marriage and is at a stage in life where he just wants to bang young hotties.

Don't we all, George, Don't we....all.

OP, you said yourself that your buddy George just got out of 20-year marriage. The game has changed. He can't just charge in like a bull with his hard on leading the way hoping to thrust into some hottie.

I would recommend him to this thread. Specifically Jack_Smith's posts (speaking of...do we have a "Older Player" spreadsheet? I haven't searched yet....)

Great thread guys - I am 54 and my best years have been since that half-century mark.

Most men after 50 are their own worst enemies and seem to slump down, defeated by life. They seem to think it's all over.

A man needs to treat his life as a project, so that when he gets to 50 he is financially, physically and in terms of character a fully-rounded man.

“The world is what it is; men who are nothing, who allow themselves to become nothing, have no place in it.”

Yep. I agree. Famous, powerful, and/or rich men are not a useful benchmark for most of us. That said, many of those guys have zero game (especially the rich workaholic business guys) and the "average" 25 yo HB7/8 has no prayer of getting with some rock star.

(04-12-2017 06:38 PM)killjoy Wrote:  1) As an older guy how do you dress? suits? blazers? affliction t-shirts?

I think, this is going to be a little different for every man, depending on his career, lifestyle, target audience, and personal style. My vibe is Single Business Dad. I have had a long and modestly successful business and entrepreneurial career, run my own (small) business, and am raising my kids solo. I live in a top 10 MSA where business downtown is generally conducted suit and tie and my target demo is "smart girls" (grad students, career girls, entrepreneuristas), 24-28. I run several very simple looks, depending on season & context, from most to least formal, as follows.

*Suit & Tie
*Suit & Open Collar Dress Shirt
*Khakis; Open Collar Dress Shirt; Blazer
*Jeans; Open Collar Dress Shirt - Tail Out; Blazer
*Jeans; Open Collar Dress Shirt - Tail Out
*Jeans; V-Neck T-Shirt
*Shorts; Polo Shirt
*Shorts; V-Neck T-Shirt

IMHO details, fit, and quality matter most. For me that means RTW Italian suits/sport coats/slacks (e.g. Brioni; Zegna), fitted spread collar 100s dress shirts (either custom made in HK @ ~$90, or RTW and tailored by my guy), and quality mid-range shoes (e.g. Allen Edmonds, To Boot NY). I never buy retail, so I can get more for my buck. I also mostly go cheap on shorts, vnecks, polos (all H&M, which are super fitted and super cheap) and jeans (gap; shit, I know).

For anything less formal than a suit, for a social occasion, I will almost never wear socks and will rock a stitched driving shoe or a fashion forward loafer. I wear a quality watch, but not big or ostentatious. (Your jeweler would recognize the quality; most millenials would not.) No other jewelry. No ink. No cologne. No undershirt with an open collar shirt. Ever. For dates, I open the second shirt button, and almost never wear socks.

The most important thing is fitness. In a $25 H&M shorts/vneck outfit at 13% BF, I might get pulled by a 25 yo. In a $2,000 Armani suit at 20% BF, I would be invisible to all but the fat chicks.

(04-12-2017 06:38 PM)killjoy Wrote:  2) You don't pay for dinner? So I'm guessing you split the bill? I'm curious how young hotties even react to that.

Just to be clear, I am not saying never pay for a date or dinner. I am saying FUCK FIRST. I learned this here and the hard way. Once you have fucked a couple times and have put the girl in your rotation, feed her all you want.

Logistically, I go for a D1 or D2 lay. D1 is drinks out at boutique hotel lounge; pull to room for champagne. Or bounce to bar #2, and then pull to room for champagne. I don't mind picking up the (very small) tab for this, but, as advised by many others here, will let the check sit on the table so I can see how she rolls. (My #1 picked up the bill for drinks the first time out, and often thereafter.) D2, when needed, is cooking together. I handle menu and food, she brings wine/desert, we cook together.

My philosophy, learned here, is that when a woman rolls with me, she rolls the way I roll. For most millenial girls, this will mean a significant lifestyle upgrade. That's fine, but it is essential to ensure that you have a sex-centric relationship. That means we are getting together to indulge our lust for each other. That may entail a suite at the Ritz Carlton, a steak dinner, or even a weekend away - if that's what I want to do - but that's all secondary to the fucking. It's also important for her to continue to invest, in a manner consistent with her ability, along the way. This could be picking up the drinks tab, cooking for you, cleaning your apartment, or showing up at your office in a french maid's outfit, just like you requested.

This all boils down to marketing and value prop. My marketing premise is that I am a gift to that pussy. My value prop is that I am going to make that pussy sing. Indirectly and directly it is important to consistently send the message that you are not about providing day to day emotional support and/or a meal ticket, you are there to provide quality dick, and she needs to work for that dick.

Bit of an old post I know but what a great post it is!

I try and dress in a similar way but never seem to know what to wear is extremely hot and humid countries. Any type of jacket is out and even long sleeved shirts leave me sweating heavily.

Grateful for any ideas on cool but masculine tropical day and evening attire.

MJP1 - on cool tropical day attire, I go for a long sleeved linen shirt (actually less warm than a cotton t-shirt) with sleeves rolled up, and 2 or three buttons unbuttoned, depending how close I am to the sea. Fitted shorts with that and a pair of suede car shoes (preferably Tod’s but there are less pricey brands). Nice stainless steel watch and a few bracelets. Understated sunglasses. No bright colours unless on the beach.

Evenings are more difficult.

I have been successful inviting them over to my house for a wine tasting for the first date. Ironically, I suspect they are more likely to be comfortable getting to know me in private, perhaps because of the stigma.

Not saying they don't exist, but I'd love to see a few "hot fit 40 yos"

I'm not gonna lie, I laugh every time I read things like this, or similar to it.

You're more likely to run into an 18 year old you can have a conversation with than a "hot fit" forty year olds. They're few and far between. And if they're unmarried, the baggage frequently exceeds the carry on limit.

RE: Are Older Guys Automatically Put In The "Provider" Category By Young Women?
"Provider category?" Definitely not. Try "fantasy category."

There is a subset of girls who have older men fantasies. I knew them when I was young. The reason I knew these girls in my youth is because I was always involved in school newspaper and knew scads of women from all walks of life back then. Plus, I was privvy to a lot of gossip.

The "older guy fantasy" came up a lot. Off the top of my head, here are six memorable examples from back then:

1). There was a girl from college who was a babysitter and did it with the father of the kids she watched. This wasn't a one-time hook-up. They "got together" each time he drove her home.

2). A seriously hot West Virginia University journalism grad I knew hooked up with a 50-year-old biker guy when she was 22. This went on for a year. She's now a mommy and respected journalist.

3). In high school, the tallest, most beautiful girl (think Brooke Shields) dated the biology teacher who was around 35. This went on from when she was a junior through her senior year in college. Why did it end? Because he was having too many other affairs with high school girls.

4). Then there was the 23-year-old girl I worked with at a newspaper who stole the husband (and kids -- LOL!) of a 45-year-old woman in the office. The guy was 49 at the time. You would not believe the fighting that went on, but I digress.

5). When I worked in a restaurant at 21, there was a fellow "server" who came in with her grey-haired father. Or so I thought. Turned out it was her "boyfriend" who was about 60 at the time. They met at an AA meeting. She was nice-looking but a drunk.

6). In my college dorm, the hottest sophomore girl was off-limits...because she was dating the local weatherman. I have no idea how old he was, but it could not have been younger than 40.

So much of this went on when I was young that I developed a lifelong hatred of Baby Boomer men. I felt they were stealing all the best girls from Generation X.

Why does this happen?

Sometimes we fail to realize that women have fantasies just as men do. Granted, women are more conformist and don't act on them as much. But these fantasies exist in their heads nonetheless.

This is why I think the SA and Fetlife sites are so popular, while politically correct dating sites like OKCupid and POF are dying a thousand deaths.

The more I look, the more I'm now starting to believe the daddy-daughter fantasy has become THE forbidden fruit for a lot of younger women today. Why? Because society says everything else is permitted: lesbianism, inter-racial, transgender, tattoos, threesomes, etc. Where else is there to go if you wanna be "naughty?"

And, as everyone knows, the way women actually feel like women (as opposed to corporate robo-slaves) is to be naughty once in a while.

I have a family member who just turned 51, and got divorced 2 yrs ago. He just re-entered the dating scene, and immediately went after the recent college grad female. Limited success, but that was because they all looked at him as their dad/provider, and he didn't use frame successfully to weed out the cashgrabbers.

It’s incredible that the older man - younger, fecund woman pairing which has fuelled a disproportionate share of human fertility and high investment parenting has become - and is - one of the few taboos that exist in the ‘liberated’ sexual marketplace.

I mean, women are encouraged to butcher their unborn children to liberate them to serial monogamy/ monkey branching and to shore up their SMP values but the woman who likes older men is deemed deficient and her man a pseudo-paedophile.

It’s the madness of the late decline phase.

Yes I don't like the way linen creases though but it can be a cool look.

What about more formal evenings? A date etc?

I would love to wear jackets more but I sweat so much.
Even jeans are hot and Chinos types.

I cannot really wear shorts out in the evenings.

Ideas from all are appreciated.

Most younger women are conditioned to view an older guy with his act together as a security blanket of sorts. Some willingly trade their young soft bodies for the promise of this security and comfort. Others see a 11th hour reprieve from having to compete with against hotter women, and a chance to "start over" without the examination of her slutty past. The provider alarm in a chick's head can be short-circuited, but in the case of your friend he may have to change some of the behaviors from his failed marriage.

Proper screening along with framing the interaction as care-free, non-judging and sexual up front, should help him save valuable time and resources. These young girls are looking for memorable experiences. The problem with a lot of older guys when dealing with the younger crowd is that they "lead with their wallet" so they get easily pegged as providers not lovers.

I believe this is exactly right. I have dated a lot of very young girls now and you have to make it sexual and non-provider-ish up front. And for heaven's sake, just be real about your age and real about who you are ... it works a lot better than you might think. Obviously pay for the costs of dates and stuff, but to send money or whatever is an absolute no-no. Anyhow just be cool and you can give a lottttt of young girls their first facial and they will even say thank you after

I have to reiterate that another thing that has fed the worsening western female is something I see a lot in threads, in a positive feedback loop. Unstable marriages and/or divorce (with the aid of technology, as always) further increase both the male and thirstiness pools. Women get more attention, of course because of the way men are, this is mostly younger women. Even if a guy is unsuccessful with attempting at younger woman, it's still more attention for her (or resource possibilities). Women become worse partners, in general, as a result, or delay marriage, or both.

Rinse, wash, repeat. Cycle continues.

Get your passport ready!

Women instinctively are manipulators and seek out your greatest weakness. You have to be non-reactive. She will probably shit test you subtly for a month and see where you react, and then when she wants to hurt you during a fight she knows what works.

A good model for dealing with them is to think of them as an immature child. A lot of times a woman in projecting. So if she criticizes your age, that is probably something she is insecure about (her immaturity, lack of life experiences). To be non-reactive, remind yourself that when someone criticizes you, it says more about them then it says about you. After the moment has passed and you are calm, you can devastate her with a statement like "It was unrealistic of me to expect someone with so few life experiences to be [more mature][less selfish][other criticism]."

I agree about the physical fitness, which basically comes down to body fat %. At 20% you're a dad. At 12% you're a wolf. Add to that on-point hair and facial grooming (ears/nose/brows) and you've separated yourself from the pack.

Dr Johnson rumbles with the RawGod. And lives to regret it.

Frankly if this bothers you (much less pisses you off), you have no business dating 21 y/o's. Remember, you are old!
