By the way, lol at the thought of people "fleeing France and its African migrants", to go to Montreal... Trading "our" Sub-Saharan neighbors for Haitian ones, in Montreal? What would be the point... I'd rather deal with (more or less) hard-working (even though their jobs are often outside of normal business regulations) Africans, than with Haitians, considering the genocide of my people that Haitians carried out two centuries ago, in total impunity...

Anyway, for your information, OP, there was a paper in the "Le Monde" MSM newspaper a month or so ago, about French natives fleeing France, and they did not, in general, head for multiku Canada: first destination is actually Poland. And then, the rest of Eastern Europe, and Asia for the wealthiest...

This said, for example, I would go to Quebec City (ville de Quebec), or even Montreal, for business or even family holiday, with pleasure: no disrespect intended to our Quebec brothers...

Is this for highly qualified workers only? I don't think it is a bad idea, French is a popular third language on latin american countries, the language is similar to spanish and I'm pretty sure a lot of people would do it on a heartbeat if they have the opportunity to earn a better wage for some years, I remember a lot of argentineans actually do a lot of programs like working holiday visas in places like France or Australia or even Denmark where they low quality jobs due to the lack of language skills. When I read the oil sands thread I though hell I would learn French and do it now if getting a work permit weren't so hard (and the fact that the oil industry is falling apart lol). Most people who study French are probably language or hospitality majors though.

I used to go to this event in Bogota called Gringo Tuesdays where foreigners would mingle with locals who wanted to practice English and other foreign languages. There were multiple tables with various languages and I once sat at the French table and chatted to some locals, most of them were learning French solely to immigrate to Quebec, as I mentioned before its the easiest way to get into Canada. FYI, English is the working language in the oil sands, my BA in French hasn't done much for me here.

real question, how much do you expect to make off these temp workers? Recruiting agencies usually take a significant cut of a person's wages, like 25% of their 1st year salary. The labor market might be getting better, but flooding canada and quebec with people who just happen to speak french sounds ridiculous. If you want to do this you better visit french speaking african countries and go from there or google la franophonie.
