in the future we need to develop "non-technical"-communities similar to what the amish have today. Its not all of us who wants to become cyborgs.

I can definitely see it becoming mandatory to be implanted.

It will most likely start with
- culture glorifying the chips (video games, Hollywood etc.)
- false flag attacks against transhumanism
- finally a huge government operated terrorist attack.

After that you'll be told that in order for similar attacks not to occur, you must secure your life with this FREE chip, which at that point will itself
be a requirement to get a Job. All for security of course! don't you trust your government you fascist?

Honestly, AI is the only thing that really terrifies me. All the other problems we talk about here - feminism, immigration, radical islam, etc. they represent symptoms of the cyclical rise and fall of civilizations. Civilization has advanced forward and been set back many times by human and environmental factors, and always recovered.

Nuclear weapons were the first true existential threat to ourselves that we've created, but they still rely upon human judgment for their use and as such theoretically could never be used again. While this is doubtful especially in an inevitable cataclysmic civilization ending event, it's at least theoretically possible

Superintelligence on the other hand is something that once we hit the singularity of human level AI, which may very well happen in our lifetimes (really even the next 20-30 years), will self replicate and increase its software and hardware capabilities exponentially. Really when you get to that point, its very difficult for me to imagine a world in which that superintelligence would feel that humanity was important to maintain. In truth, we would likely be a detriment and resource drain in a world where AI could develop itself and develop hardware to repair and replicate itself.

Forgive me for not being eager to press forward into our destruction. If you are someone who's rightfully wary of the globalist elite, the development of superintelligence should terrify you beyond all measure because it would inevitably have similar society transforming goals, only much more dramatic, much less predictable, with much greater capability, and much less need to include us in its vision.

That's only a short term problem. In the longer term, why would a theoretical, exponentially self replicating superintelligence allow itself to be burdened by our limitations?

One of the things about technology we always have to consider is, why is this actually beneficial to us. Is this actually going to improve our collective happiness?

Even now, do my iphone and my laptop and my ability to shitpost on pol and work from everywhere in the world really make me happier than a man in the 1950s or 60s doing physical work with a core nuclear family and community around him?

The technological progress we've already made has led to massive overpopulation and resource constraints and incredibly rapid social change that I would argue has made made many things in life easier or more convenient but hasn't necessarily benefitted our net happiness.

Time will tell but I suspect history will prove the 1950s-60s in the west to be the golden age of humanity in terms of quality of life.

Sometimes I wonder how much the ancients really knew.
Like how ancient Egyptians thought that children's blood makes you live longer, and yet now we have studies showing that young blood increases old mouse's vitality and slows down the effect of aging in the brain and so on.
Not to mention all the sick shit Hollywood does behind the scenes now.
