In fact, you really only need that second video. Jon Jones, as usual, is ultra technically sound. His foot is textbook on every strike and on the placement variations. That is what you want in terms of instruction. Unless someone is Muay Thai trained, I wouldn't advise the Muay Thai pushkick methods on the street too much. Like those Thai guys did, they followed up with knees. If the bouncer was that kind of fighter, none of those guys would have been walking around at the end of the video. They probably would have gotten elbowed badly as well. No one wants to go to jail for excessive force if it is avoidable.

In any case, there is a lot to learn from the way the bouncer uses distance to his advantage. In and out, no in between.

This is exactly my thought. He had good footwork and distancing in a very tight space. But most importantly, excellent timing and quick reaction in telegraphing the two guys' movements. When they initiated the first move by stepping (or invading) into his personal space, he instinctively reacted by throwing the first technique (i.e., punch) without hesitation. He had solid hand techniques in making each strike counted.

Great video. It's pretty obvious that the bouncer has some type of martial arts training and/or background to deal with these types of people.

Saw the vid - bouncer certainly had some boxing experience, also some lifting in the past. After years of specific training, then fat does not impede much the fighting process.

Especially the big guy was utterly inept. His mate was marginally better, but I think he learned his combat techniques from the movies.

Good fight. It is as Bruce Lee once said - the fastest way to learn self-defense is to learn boxing. All other skills take far longer to master.

When you are a very inexperienced fighter (I talk from inexperience here) - it is almost a natural instinct to lash out with your feet and legs in a kick. Bad move. Bad bad move. Nothing will get you on your arse quicker and getting your head kicked in by your opponents, than a badly placed kick that rejigs your whole center of gravity, leaving you vulnerable.

LOL at the first Bruce Lee Karate Kid guy, what a dick. He got served. And LOL at the last guy standing whose best shot was a spit from his pussy mouth. That guy could have finished him and he knew it. Pathetic. Kudos to the bouncer who showed nothing but pure control. It's not easy being spat on, and to take that shit when your adrenaline is pumping 20 to the dozen, respect.

But never mind all that. The best thing about this video was the Australian shitlord and his commentary: "Fuck me dead!".

That guy is a better bet to go out for beers with than the pathetic three stooges that got pussy-whipped by a semi out of shape, semi-prepared man. Not taking anything away from him though - he knew where to land them.

Nicely done. He has "heavy hands" It's one of those intangibles a fighter has, or doesn't.

Every punch he lands either knocks a guy down or knocks a guy out.

It looks like the knockout blow hits the bigger guy on the base/back of the head which wouldn't be considered a 'technically great' punch. Not exactly a 'sweet spot' a boxer would go for.

Yet, it still knocks the guy out cold.

Impressive.

Bouncer definitely had some amount of training. He even threw a nice teep kick at 0:17 with his left leg to keep the distance. His punches were right on target and he had good movement throughout.

Bar made a good choice hiring him. I've seen some bouncers in altercations who had no idea about fighting and it cost them.

Note the guard he pulls at 0:51 - that looks like a bareknuckle stance that you see a lot with gypsy fighters. The door obscures his hand though, so he might just be talking into the radio, but his hands are empty a second later. He doesn't look out of shape to me, he's broad shouldered and solidly built without being tall. A proper fighter, has plenty of experience which is why he's so calm. You can see the look of adrenaline and victory on his face after he moves forward to punch the 2 guys and jump back.

If I hadn't seen the toolbag getting helped up to his feet by his cheesedick buddies at the end of the vid I would have just assumed that punch caught him in the carotid artery and separated soul from body. Either way I hope it occurred to him at some point during or after that his stupidity could have gotten him killed.

The match I went to was in Medellin. It was a rivalry match, so that made it better. I was surprised how much these people hated one another. Between plays in American sports everyone sits down and waits calmly. These soccer fans were screaming and singing chants and jumping up and down the ENTIRE match.

My group was in the middle neutral section between the two sides that wanted a bloodbath. I had been warned by a few people not to wear the wrong colors. But then people were fucking with me about the colors. "Oh, green is a neutral color. Wear green man!" (Green was not neutral)

It was certainly fun to experience it. But the game itself was boring as hell. Here's the summation of soccer: "Kick the ball that way! No, kick it the other way! Now act like that guy hurt you and roll around on the ground in agony!"

a couple years back driving through some rough parts of memphis and stayyed the night at the pilot over near Highway 78 when i was driving for a trucking company, I had a crackhead try to rob me.....in the early AM dawn time so i had to have my maglight to see my trailer tires for my pretrip inspection...Sadly my handgun was in my truck .

He told me his spiel about how he was needing money for the bus station and i told the loser to get lost.

Apparently he had heard no enough that he wanted to forcefully take my wallet.(i don't even fucking carry cash !!! it all goes to my bank)

He charged at me from about 10ft away and upon turning around I hit the fucker square in the bottom lip..After my Pretrip inspection a cop came up and asked me what had happened, and i gave him the scenario. And charged the crackhead with attempted assault. God Bless Stand your ground laws.
