I'll probably get shit on for this one but here it is: TORONTO!

Why: As a Canadian, its one of the best cities to be based because the economy is solid (I've had good job offers there) and its a great hub for flights. The cost of living is high and the women are notoriously shitty but Tdot has the best flights out of Canada, direct flights to many Caribbean destinations, many Asian ones, all over Europe and Africa too. If I do ever move to the Toronto area, it wouldn't be right in the city, I would take a job in a more industrial area like Oshawa, Cambridge or even Hamilton, which are all on the outskirts but the airport is within and hour drive and that's all that would matter to me. Even if a city sucks balls, if I can take 4-5 one week vacations to a place like the DR each year, I'll be able to maintain my sanity. For all of the shit Toronto gets on here, until you've lived for months in industrial shit holes like I have, you don't know how good Toronto really is.

Agreed...that's why I live 10 mins from YYZ.

Makes travelling easy. Despite the gaming issue.. the GTA does have a lot of positives too.

I thought the OP said city, only now do I realize that he said country, oops. Anyway, my career is very much non-location independent so I don't really consider living outside of Canada very much. If I was location independent, I'd probably base myself in South Florida, within an hour of Miami so I could take multiple quick flights to Latin American and Caribbean poosy paradises. Miami is the best hub for such adventures and overall is a cool place, I really like Florida. As much as I like the 3rd world countries for the cheap rum and friendly women, I just can't live in one all year, I would go insane!

Especially with spirit and jet blue flying there so cheap. I met an uber driver in Bogota who takes trips to Miami all the time and pays for the trip by bringing back shoes, etc and selling them online to local people in Colombia and an inflated price.
