Living where I live, I've seen and dealt with tons of chicks who were more than happy to let me or some other side pay for dinner, only to a few days later drop the boyfriend reveal (and no, lurkers, a girl letting me pay for dinner doesnt entitle me to sex, but...they're fully aware that using the prospect of sex opens up a guy's wallet...why not say 'I have a boyfriend and I won't sleep with you' from the outset? Right, then they'd have to pay their own way).

That's the double standard thought experiment test right there: You'd be laughed out of the room if you suggested this, yet when a man does the equivalent, i.e. scams a free dinner out of his date, he suddenly becomes Genghis Khan in the eyes of the media. Where you locate the blindspot that enables the double standard, therein lies the power and the blindspot in this case is in the failure to apply this standard to women's behaviour.

He is no Dine and Dasher - he just did not pay his share like most of the women the world over. What about the world's assorted bitches who give a guy a 0,01% of a bang long before a date?

I cannot find the article, but I there were multiple women who went on numerous dates with men only to get gourmet food, or to "challange themselves" with zero intentions of ever dating those men. So those guys could spend sometimes hundreds of dollars for the "pleasure" of her company and then be left with the bill.

I know that society expects it from men, but frankly the guy did nothing illegal. The website should be sued for publishing his face without his consent. He may be a petty thief and a crook, but leaving a restaurant prematurely while your other party is left with the bill is just being a dick, not a criminal.

But of course since women are concerned, then it is the end of the world. He is the worst human in history - not the scum of the world that gets invited by the Obamas of the world who then rape and pillage their way through the West.

Women should always take into account that they may end up and have to pay the bill, worst case having to call someone to bail them out. Then they know what it feels a bit to be a man.

During my further explorations and expansions of Vox Day's conception of the Gamma, I've noted in the past that they possess an almost-autistic level of Social and Emotional Unawareness. It's impossible to make them understand just how hard they consistently-fail at dominating any social sphere they believe they're masters of: that women aren't interested, that their 'jokes' aren't funny, and that they're rubbing people the wrong way.

Just before Christmas, I gave my Gamma Stepdad a lift out to the Rifle Range for a get-together. The way he tells it, every guy there loves him, especially since he decided a more efficient and accurate way of scoring on his laptop than tallying it up on paper like they previously did, and also deciding that the results shouldn't be posted to the club's Facebook page, but on a personal website that he controls, thereby, to use his words, 'saving the day'.

Since he was on crutches at the time, I was tasked with driving him, carrying the ammo box and rifle case.

When he walked in, he said "Hi guys" to the guys who were already setting up.

Most didn't even look up. One guy offered a cool "Oh, Hi Gamma." I could see he's completely out of his depth there, because he's an obese Gamma wimp, and these guys all had biceps that could crush rocks and jaws that would break razors, and, obviously, no time for bullshit.

My stepdad tried to start a conversation, but no-one was interested, so I lifted all his gear onto the tables for him. I could see he wanted me out of the picture quickly, in case they paid attention to me and not him, and I didn't really want to be drawn into his dysfunction by association.

Too late. As I expected, The Range Captain, who would be in charge of knowing who was on the range at any point in time, a position Gamma would seriously covet, came over to me and said "And hello whoever you are."

I shook the hand that was offered. "I'm just the Driver." (i.e. I'm-not-really-with-him)

We got talking easily enough, him explaining the club to me, completely-ignoring any conversation with Gamma as he set up his stationary shooting perch. I inwardly-winced as I noticed him carelessly point his rifle in both of our directions as he lifted it onto the table. Someone will eventually correct him, and he will never, ever forgive the momentary loss of face.

By the time the Range Captain said "You should really come out one night and give this a try, mate," and started explaining how to get the necessary license, Gamma butted in:

"Don't forget you had to get home to get your dinner going!"

Oh, the envy! Stealing the attention that should rightfully be his!

I did quickly leave, as the Social Atmosphere was awkward and frosty, and I've never liked Cringe Comedy, but I can see that Gamma's gun is as good as mine.

Understanding that, take a look at an example of Writer / Actor Alex Swerdloff in action, and then consider he most-likely uploaded this thinking it made him look 'cool' and 'funny'.





Then look at the avatars of the guys who are calling it 'funny', and note their own SMV.

i'd bet the only ones he did this to were the women he didn't like. There are probably several women he ended up covering for because he liked them and saw the date going somewhere.

Further, as some have suggested, the women probably committed some sort of fraud by not being who they said they were via photograph (i.e. a SIF) or their profile (a down-to-earth girl who was really a horrible bitch).

Sure, what he did was technically wrong. On the other hand, he's kind of a hero.

I've just given a long overdue rep point for this explanation of Gamma behaviour, which spans many threads and has caused more than a little strife since it's "nautical" origins.
I know the concept originally came from Vox Day, but I just find his work difficult to read for some reason. Maybe I'm just a simpleton, but I much prefer these real world examples I can relate to.
I always knew there was something that all of the wankers-that-I-can't-stand (from work, clubs, committees etc) that I've met over the years had in common, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

But now I understand.

They all fit the Gamma mold perfectly.

Now I can instantly recognise and deal with this behaviour accordingly instead of trying to decipher each one's motives on a case by case basis.
