What went wrong? Should I even go for a second date?
It was a first date with a girl, I took her to a cool bar did a venue change to a whack bar, and then took her back to my place for hookah.

Everything was going well, I was on top of my shit, and then when we went to my house i guess she thought my roommates would be there but they weren't. So I was setting up my hookah, and as it was getting ready, you could feel the sexual tension in the air, I should've stricken for a kiss at this point but hesitated a bit. She suddenly got really nervous and said she had to leave. She ordered a lyft and insisted to wait for it outside...the fuck went wrong here? Everything was fairly smooth except for the slight hesitation but I was waiting a little longer to make a move.

Should I even bother with a second date? What should I text her today/tomorrow?

You should've went for the kiss by the time you got to the second location. If she's liking the vide you're giving off and you don't at least try for a kiss and physical contact she'll get weirded out and leave. This is because women will freak out if they start having sexual feelings in a situation and you don't at least show them you feel close to the same.

You hesitated, her anti slot defence kicks in and she changed her mind.

It's ok to wait and take your time once you've already got her at yours however it's not ok to hesitate. Hesitate imply s you were nervous and not in control and that's what probably freaked her out. It's OK to take your time but you've got to do it from a position of confidence.

So should I just move on to the next bitch or should I try again with this prospect? I'm still a novice so I feel like I should take things as far as it goes.

You should not be focusing all your energy on one girl arguably ever, but certainly not this early in dating.

I don't see the harm in seeing if she wants to go out (or stay in for dinner/movie). Remember to game other girls for when the lead goes cold

You wouldn't have gotten sex from the girl that night, and unlikely even a kiss.

She was obviously uncomfortable - the antithesis of the right conditions for a sexual encounter.

I would respectfully disagree. She was obviously comfortable enough to go through multiple venue changes with the OP and bounce back to his house so he was obviously doing something right.

OP you just gotta work on your closing a little more. By all means hit her up again you've got nothing to lose. I hope you bang because you did 99% of the hard work but if not charge it to the game take it as a lesson.

How do you guys recommend I get better at closing, I'm extremely good at getting attention, fostering desire, etc. but like you guys said, I'm not good at closing.

Is more dates the answer???

I'm going to say her interest level was low, based on the fact that she wasn't comfortable upon finding out your room mates weren't around. As far as what went wrong, well it's anyone's guess but I don't think it has to do with your hesitation on the kiss. Something went wrong before that would be my best guess. It's highly likely that you misread her. In either case, keep on truckin' and pay this one no mind.

Probably got a text from her BF, or parents (depending how old she is), none of which she would probably admit, and got nervous. Should've made a drink before the hookah before the other drinks started to wear off as well.

I know I shouldn't be focusing my energies on just one bitch but I don't know this one is one of the cuter ones.

I texted her today: "hey I had a Good time last night thanks for coming out"

She replied: "I did too thanks for inviting me"

Should i not respond and then try to set up a second date in like two days or should I respond right now immediately

And yes...I know I am overthinking this lol

Don't respond, date someone else for a while, and let this current woman come to you if she's interested.

Her response strikes me as merely being polite. I'd back burner her and work on developing new (and more receptive) prospects. I'm not saying you can't try her again at some point if you want, but don't be surprised if nothing comes of it.

The old me would say not enough alcohol.

And the old me was often right.

If you drank more you wouldn't have pussed out and she woulda been hornier.

Or shes not a slut and never wanted to bang on the first date.

So its not your fault for not kissing her, she just got scared you were alone, she thought it would be "safe" with roomates.

Probably a "three date kate" ie not a slut.

Date again, build comfort and close when you are both ready.

This is some common shit.

It's not necessarily anything you did to fuck up the situation. It was her being female.

Just ignore her for a while and cut her off. If she really likes you, she'll be back in touch. Women are out of their fucking minds.

Three date kate, lol...

Who knows, could have been your nerves... she could have been abused in the past... who knows. Could have been your fault, could have been something completely nothing to do with you. If it's something to do with her issues, consider whether she's worth keeping around at all. If you think it's worth it then try again, obviously go for the bang. Sounds a bit crazy to me, was she from online?

RE: What went wrong? Should I even go for a second date?
I've met some chicks like this before. She was a "wait for it" girl, not a "three date Kate."

"Three date Kates" don't go home with guys on a first date.

"Wait for it girls" do, as they're "reformed" sluts, trying to discern if you're a suitable beta. A suitable beta takes a girl home on the first date, has it dangled in front of him, and then doesn't attempt to escalate. Success! Not a player. She'd probably have hit you up for an expensive dinner date for the round 2.

But you went for it like a normal man and oh no! He's a player!

I say good work. You called her bluff, smoked her out and don't have to waste any more time on her.

I've had a couple girls invite me direct to their place on a "first date." Then get miffed at me when I tried to escalate even after several hours of comfort-building and fun chat. IMO these girls are hoes looking for a payday in all but name.

RE: What went wrong? Should I even go for a second date?
kinjutsu hit the nail on the head. You didn't make any moves on her and she probably got turned off by that. Women love aggressive guys.

I'm assuming that you had a drink or two while you were at the bar. Alcohol generally releases your inhibitions. I would've made her laugh to get her comfortable with me and then went in for a kiss....while at the bar.

I have been in your situation before when I was younger. When I was nice I didn't get a second date. When I was aggressive, I usually got what I wanted. She went out with you because she is already attracted to you no?

The next time you are up to bat, go down swinging for the fences.

You're right! I'm having reading comprehension issues today. Thought it said he went for the makeout and she ejected.

Please use the information in my post where applicable and otherwise pretend I said what BigTony did. Blush

Yeah, why not try for a second date. She may well say no, but there's nothing to lose except pride by making the offer. I've been seeing a girl for several months now who confided in me that she got skittish on the first date when I took her hand in mine, but managed to resist pulling away. It could've easily gone the other way, though.

But girls have a terror of having to make the first move.

I second this response! Game off other girl using the momentum you got from taking this chick on a date, and set up other prospects in the mean time. You made an honest mistake with this chick, so don't beat yourself about it.

Put her on time out for a week, then re-initiate by going in sexual right away with something like: Damn you were looking good last week at (insert date venue...and do not speak to her ever about the incident at your crib. How she fallows up will let you know where you stand. If she steers away from your sexual vibe... then shit might be dead. Just chalk it to the Game!

fixed it for you
your post doesnt give much to go off of but she's not swept away by you not even close. Comfort, trust, seduction--you need all three to get the lay. If I had to guess y'all probably had a lot of jokes and talk but no sexual touching, sexual banter/teasing, and sexual eye contact. You built a lot of comfort and trust but then you get her back to your place alone and now you want to get sexual--that to her is "all of the sudden". Now she's uncomfortable and the way you acted wasn't congruent with your desires (trust is gone too). All three have fallen through the floor.

Quote:Should I even bother with a second date? What should I text her today/tomorrow?

if you do ask her for a date imply a do over like its your first time meeting.

Right now your frame is the friendzone guy that tried to escape and frame shifts out of that are hard, take time (prolonged period of radio scilence), and more difficult if you don't have access to fuck her friends.

Time is really your only ally and doing that to chase more leads will result in forgetting about her as you improve your frame control.

She's not worth the hassle right now. Next her and text her in 4 months if you're still interested. Be ready for a "new one who dis?"

Attraction and passion are non-negotiable
