There's a shit ton of hot girls there. Mainly white girls and an increasing number of asians. It's probably comparable to any other college in the country in terms of girls. For example, I've visited UT in Austin and felt UCSB was a step above that, and UT has some damn fine girls.

I think the main reason why UCSB has the pussy paradise rep is because basically everybody who goes there parties, and unlike in a lot of party schools, you don't need to be in greek life to get plugged into the social scene. If you go out in IV on a Thurs- Sat night, you're basically guaranteed to find a party that u can hop into if you look like you're in college. From what I know it has calmed down A LOT from ~5 years ago (it's pretty tough to get in nowadays) but they still party hard. Hard to imagine living there but I have a great time whenever I visit.

Santa Cruz is like 200 miles north of UCSB. Mostly a pot school with OK chicks, nothing special at all.

Thanks bro, but I am actually going to say that your post has more value than any of mine because I was just busting on it, and meanwhile you are offering actual useful information for anyone who happens to go there.

Also, I am pretty fraudulent because I have never been to Bakersfield specifically, however I have lived in several Southern California desert towns over the years, and there have been rants building up in me over time that a Bakersfield thread let out, and I figured all of my opinions would apply to Bakersfield since they applied to most of the desert cities I have been to.

USCB was legit especially if you like blondes. Parties were legit with plenty of girls DTF. I would usually go there and visit my friends who went to school there on the weekends. Keep in mind though this was about 7 years ago. Kaotic is right Halloween was crazy went up there 2 years in a row. For me though just way too many people it's like the population of the city doubles.

Pretty much. It's not quite as amazing as some make it out to be, but it is without a doubt one of the easiest places to bang hot girls in California (possibly the entire country). Just for reference, when I went there, I had a beginner level of game and still banged/got head from twenty girls over a two year period there. Not amazing by forum standards but a damn sight more than most people in college.

The great thing about it is that a relatively average dude can swoop fairly attractive women (7's) without significant effort or status. The very hottest women tend to go for guys in the top frats -- these may be hard for an outsider. The remaining 98% of women, most of whom are still pretty attractive, are fair game for almost anyone with okay looks and okay game.

If you want to spend a couple months fucking off, I would recommend living in Isla Vista for Fall quarter specifically (Late Sept-December). This shit is off the chain, great parties that are open to most people, LOTS of freshmen, honestly I cannot recommend it enough. Get a job working at some food place in IV to pay rent, spend the rest of your time fucking around, hanging out on the beach, and drinking. Winter and Spring quarters can be fun also, but nothing close to fall. As everyone knows this is when all the freshmen arrive, they are at a top party school for the first time, PLENTY are trying to get fucked. If you have good logistics, i.e a centrally located house in IV, you can KILL. I (and I think Travesty as well) did not have these logistics and we still did pretty well with UCSB girls.

Plus there are tons of clubs that have badass outings that are open to anyone. Excursion Club is fantastic, Snow Club is also a good one. Also, if you want free good dinner on Fridays, hit up the Jewish organizations. SB Hillel offers home-cooked food for free on Friday evenings. An organization called JAM offers a vastly better dinner that is also for free, but it helps to go with someone you know. Small family setting thrown by the rabbi, he's a wonderful guy.

UCSB is overall a great place, but it's not perfect. I stayed there for two years and bombed out to a better school. Why? Because the people here are fucking stupid. In my first week at school, we had people screaming the n word in the dining halls, slapping each other after covering their hands in lotion, and flinging tubs of ice cream off of cliffs and into the sea. One of my buddies was a Xanax addict. This fool was so fucked up that he almost pissed on two girls thinking that they were the toilet, my buddy had to run in and grab him and throw him out of the room. All the while he was pissing in a million directions all over the room. I have a million stories like this, the point is it gets old. Trying to go to school in this environment was ridiculous, I felt like the place was an insult to my intelligence. If you move here, get ready to experience teenage stupidity like you've never seen it before. Also prepare yourself for hordes of EXTREMELY basic white women and obnoxious bros. This is not a good place for more intellectual/quiet types, people like that can still have fun here, but they'll get extremely sick of it after a year or two. I know that I certainly did.

Passed through Bakersfield many times and can confirm it is a shithole. There's lots of small cities like Bakersfield in Central/Nor Cal where there's nothing to do and its just endless shitty suburbia and boring stock buildings. The only two girls I know from Bakersfield were some of the plainest girls I remember meeting from college classes, who both had an unhealthy obsession with every fantasy book/show out there, because what else do you do when you live in Bakersfield.

No, more the SoCal party type girls. Some are very sweet and nice during the day, but they can be obnoxious at night. No one will be wearing uggs, Isla Vista is on the beach. Tons of girls in tank tops, bikinis etc. Expect tons of shitty EDM music, mixed in with some average local bands. Everyone and their mother thinks they're a DJ. Isla Vista at night (and frequently during the day as well) resounds with the noise of terrible mixtapes.

I'd definitely recommend just staying there for Fall Quarter. However, I wouldn't go there just for the girls. Make sure you enjoy the outdoor activities, go surfing, go hiking etc. Enjoy the scene in the actual city of Santa Barbara, which is way better than IV anyway.

If you plan on staying there longer, the most important thing is that you vibe with Isla Vista as a place. It really isn't for everyone. Students constantly die there from drug overdoses and accidents, parties can get ridiculously rowdy and violent, and parts of the neighborhood are actually collapsing into the ocean thanks to erosion (one balcony collapsed a couple weeks ago). The vibe is very much not intellectual, this is an active and physical place. People like to work out, drink, fuck, go surfing, and go outside. Most of them could give less of a shit about reading books or discussing politics. The campus is also libtarded to an extreme, don't even mention that you support Trump to anyone that you don't trust.

Central Valley cities like Bakersfield are shitholes. I had to spend a year in one of these cities, and it had absolutely no redeeming qualities. I like Latinas, but all I found were short, fat, single mothers or cholas. There was just no quality. After reality set in I found myself driving to the coast every weekend.

I've spent some time in Santa Barbara; lots of talent in the college crowd there.

Depends on how old you are. If you're mid to late 20's, there's no reason why you can't do well in the actual city of Santa Barbara. Travesty did that for a bit and did great for himself. He was late 20's if I recall correctly. If you're past that age, I'm honestly not sure. My scene was limited to the university. It would probably be difficult to do well there if you're much older.

UCSB is nothing like it was a few years ago. Not even close.

It got too popular and the cops cracked down on everything. I've been there several times as far back as 5-6 years ago and the change is drastic. I had friends who went to school there and have partied on random weekends as well as a couple Halloweens The overall party scene got too oversaturated and popular even as far back as 2009. The stories began to spread and kids from USC, Northridge, UCLA, Santa Monica, and a bunch of other places heard about it and it got too big.

UCSB is a prime example of what happens when a pussy paradise gets too popular. Now Halloween there isn't even 1/4 of how epic it was and the partying is more insular and less free flowing.

I wouldn't bother with Santa Barbara unless I was a young college student.

As a working adult I wouldn't bother. Just another California beach town in my opinion.
