I have an idea I want to try on Kickstarter.

My background is in technical stuff, I have no expertise in videos, advertising, or any of that. I would like to think I'm pretty crafty and enterprising, but this is all a little new to me.

Perhaps someone here does?

Where do I start?
What kind of pricing does something like this cost?
What would make it viral?
How do I pick the right person/people?
Anything else I should know, seek, other misc advice?

For OPSEC reasons, I'd rather not post what it is publicly, but it is of a scientific/technology (not IT) nature.
