There is a saying among spiritual folk:

"When we as humans wail about our troubles, problems and negative eventful experiences, then Soul rejoyces because so much individual growth and experience is being accumulated."

I guess they learned infinitely more in their brief stay among the Taliban than in the rest of their liberal fat American life. They certainly were stark raving lunatic liberals if they decided to go camping in such a dangerous area.
