Starting Roosh Program
Hi, I'm PoetryOfEros. 35 YO. Hardcase as they'd say. Just wanted to learn and figure out what I SHOULD be doing. I see a lot of posts on here that are really unique experience based. I'm starting the Roosh Program as soon as I get my dumbells and Starting Strength book. Looking forward to maybe share some experiences with you guys and learn from you too.

Any tips on The Roosh Program are welcome. I'd like to make it work.

Cheers for reading.

What you should be doing should be based upon your goals. What are your goals? You didn't outline them in your first post. Try being more specific.

Game resources:
Book of Pook is entertaining and informative, 'The Game' is the one that started the journey for most of us but is more of a story than a manual, Models, the Bang series, and Mystery's book are all full of interesting pieces. Try to find videos of real people doing real approaches, goodlookingloser has some.

jerkoff limitation is hard:
count the days, put a dns filter on your home wifi, dont sit on the computer during times of boredom, always have a purpose to your computering.

Seinfield watching is pretty easy, I'd supplement that with some online material like 'The Black Phillip Show', MikeCF or McQueen's podcasts, just something that lets you absorb the general style and attitude of the repected players.

Doing a lot of approaches requires planning, exploration of your area, travel possibly. I live in a small town with a couple ~250K population towns within driving distance and it is really hard to meet new people, find interest groups, or go places where people aren't all closed off into their own cliques already. Elderly chat seems the most effective way to open up stangers in those situations.

Books:
I love the books. 'The Way of Men' is one of my favorites, The Book of Bonecracker is great for the anger phase, 48 Laws of Power, Gorilla Mindset, Think Big and Kick Ass, The Games People Play, What Every Body is saying. I could go on and on about books that I like,

Congrats on taking control over your life. As stated earlier (apart from doing the Roosh program) you should probably articulate some of your goals.

My #1 tip: Learn to catch yourself as soon as your mind drifts towards the as soon as X, I'll start doing Y pathology. It's an easy way to let yourself off the hook from doing something that makes you uncomfortable, and a trap that I have fallen into many times. Are you going to have more success after getting your fitness on point? Yes.

That doesn't change the fact that if you want to get into the game for real then you should make an attempt to talk to the very next girl that you see and find attractive. Making a commitment to doing that is is the most important thing you can do. Easier said than done.

Thanks for the gracious advice fellow seekers of success.

Really appreciate some of the content you've added to my thread. I think it's important for me to use some of it in application.

I understand the X and Y thing, I'm expecting the weights today. As you can tell I celebrate Christmas with friends and family so those are the main reasons for not starting right away.

@SilverTube I've got the reduction of self pleasure down to once a week already. I've read Gorilla Mindset, Studying 48 Laws of Power, I have Bang, Day Bang, Layguide and MM. I have lots of PU stuff to be honest, kind of collect it. Thanks for sharing other great resources and ideas, really respect your input.

This could actually be bad thing. If you are not a pro yet, no point over-digesting in PUA material. Either it complicates things so much to the point where they directly contradict (playing cold vs striking hard and fast for ex) or it bloats you with unnecessary information and cripple you into overanalysis (if she texted you back after 1 h, takes 2h 32 min and 6 seconds to text back)

48 laws of powers are interesting, but I would not get too much into it until your social skills are at least solid.

Pick one of the books that you feel like fit your style best, stick with it until it works or you are certain it doesn't work.

You have the right attitude. I think you should start soon with the 100 approach portion of the Roosh program. Nothing really beats real life application of theory. Pick a routine and style, stick with it and test it out. Do NOT change it until you have done 100 approaches.

The too much PU advice is lame and cliche dude. I can only read one book at a time and practice one thing at a time.

Why do you say don't study 48 Laws until I have social skills?

I will probably just pick one technique/skill at a time.

I have my weights, no idea what to do with them!! I'm waiting for Starting Strength but its delivery window is in the New Year. (Had to add that)

Starting the 100 approaches probably with Day Bang or Bang (depending on venue). Someone mentioned knowing what venues to go to. I live in GB and it pretty much has lame nightly activities apart from bars/clubs - with many unwanted scenarios that play out in these places I'm a little over cautious about it rather than anxious. Day game seems reasonable but I'm not very stylish in appearance. However, I don't give a damn how I look so will approach whoever I can given I'm in the mood. I already say hello to people and try talking to shopkeepers (been taking baby steps up until now). Thanks for the supportive advice.

The strong lifts 5x5 program is simple and effective.

a youtuber who got into some trouble for calling out other youtubers on their roid usage a couple years added a some core and bicep exercises to it:

First, welcome to the forum.

Second, not saying you were trying to be confrontational here; but if you want more responses, I would refrain from using lines like this. It comes across poorly in written form.

Ok, that being said, my biggest piece of advice would be to address your non-verbal communication/ body language, and overall attitude/ vibe. These are things that can get you blown out before you even start. Absorb the info you're reading, practice some openers in private and try to listen to HOW you say things. Try playing with your delivery. Slow it down, pause a little... create some suspense. Work on a sly, devilish grin.

I know you said you you don't give a damn how you dress/ look for approaches, but take some time to think about the message you are putting out there. Even if it is just some work boots and jeans, you're sending a message. And since you don't have a choice in whether you send a non-verbal message, you might as well think about which one you want to send. I think you probably care a little more than you think- I'm guessing you aren't wearing flip flops and socks, with plaid shorts and a horizontal striped shirt. Just something to consider.

As for attitude, I cannot say it better than has already been written and I would just be plagiarizing if I tried. So I must quote:

(03-30-2015 10:46 PM)WestIndianArchie Wrote:  Being intimidated is normal. That shit's to be expected, even as a vet. At this point in my career, i've banged a lot of bitches that dudes wish was in their stable - but every once in a while, I'll run across some top flight shit that got me stammering for an opening.

That being said, rather than bring that bitch down and think of her as a 5 - you need to bring yourself up. She might be a 9.5, but to her, you're an 11.

If a top shelf bitch is giving YOU attention, it's clear that you're a top shelf dude.

Think about what girls look for
- more social
- cooler
- taller
- stronger
- richer
- smarter
- funnier

Whatever bitch you sink your dick into, not only is she beneath you objectively, but she thinks so as well. She thinks she CAME UP. Like haha, "this dumb mf'er is about to make me cum, even though he could have someone better than me."

Lotta cats think their competition is with other guys. Naw B.
Your competition is primarily internal. Your unconscious mind is not giving you permission to do the shit that you want to.

With respect to her, most fine ass bitches can have whatever objective thing you can think of.

She want's a tall guy, she can have a tall guy.
She want's rich, she can have rich.
She want's a guy with a porno size dick, he's already in her speed dial.
She want's a pretty boy, they don't stop talking to her.

In 2015, even fat bitches can get that. FAT BITCHES! Think about that my G. A chick that's been dogged her whole life can take a pic showing off them carb loaded titties and suddenly all manner of guys want to take her out, show her the town. Even ugly bitches are getting picky.

With all that choice, all those options, even the best of the best becomes banal and boring to a top flight chick. She hears so much noise, she longs to hear signal.

So if a fine ass bitch gives you the time of day, SHE'S THE LUCKY ONE.
She finally found a dude that can excite her in ways that she can't articulate.

Trying to talk a bitch down in your mind, that's Game 101. That's for dudes that have been shit on their entire lives. They have to "demonstrate high value". A dude ain't doing that shit for her benefit, he does it for himself.

It's important to go through Game 101, a seduction bootcamp. Stressing about what you're gonna wear, when and how often to text, whether she wants to add you as a Facebook friend. 101 is some of the best time of your game career. Shit is new and sweet. Might be frustrating, but you get that first # from a cold approach, that first make out on the dance floor, that first hand job in the parking lot, your first one night stand - it's nothing but bliss.

All these games, routines, working out, gear - it has some external value - it does work - but the real value is what it does to you and your mind.

You buy that 1,000 suit, fits nice, in style, good color - that shit makes you feel like a million bucks. Some floozy touches your cashmere/silk blend, and you're like "bitch get up off me"

I am somebody.
I am worth something.

That sniveling bastard that spent his Friday nights online or lamenting with friends...He's stepped to the side.

Once you're in this game for real - you start to see how
- self conscious these bitches are
- their facades

and you'll also realize your own worth.

If there's ever a game secret... it is that one.

I might not be "fat" but I got a gut for a relatively skinny dude. Hell sometimes a broad won't see my shine cause I'm not polished all the time.

I know I can talk to a bitch and take her on a mental trip that no dude has ever taken her on. The bitch that gets to chat with me is lucky as shit. No one else is going to talk to her and expand her mind like I will. No one makes her feel smart, dumb, sexy, ugly, happy, sad like I will.

This is not some magical shit I refer to either. This ain't Michael Jordan/Warren Buffet shit - it's accessible shit, it's a mindset, it's a willingness to take YOURSELF seriously.

Suddenly having the perfect comeback to "Where are your friends" "Aren't you a little old" "Is that you're pick up line" - becomes stupid and pointless.

You start to see her antics for what they are.
She's afraid.

And you are not.

WIA

And when you starting having success with a few bangs, but then you meet one you "really like" and want it to work out so badly you're about to change what's been working...

(10-14-2012 10:56 PM)delicioustacos Wrote:  So much of the "new game" can just be summed up by: "treat her like a fattie."

Text her when you want to see her. Text her "come over." "Bring the movies." Make out and then push her head toward your cock. Don't call her for days. Or text, I guess. No one calls anymore. Don't text her for days. And when you do, it's short notice. "Come over." Don't take her out in public. Don't shower before she comes over. Don't buy presents and flowers and blah blah blah... don't make a big deal out of flattering her; when you meet her, be very direct. Like the fat chick in a bar. "Come home with me." "Come out back with me." Laugh if she says something funny and don't laugh if she doesn't say something funny. Listen if she says something interesting and brush her off if she doesn't. She wants to go somewhere, she drives. You drink. When your friends ask about her-- who is this girl you're spending all this time with, be like... eh, it's nothing. A girl who comes over.

The way you deal with fat chicks is basically the way you deal with people when you're honest. Terse. Mercenary. Matter of fact. "Come out back with me" means "come suck my dick next to a dumpster." You say this to a fat chick because you know she knows exactly what you mean, and she might say yes, and if she's offended, who gives a fuck. But this should be your attitude toward all women. She knows what you mean, she might say yes, and if she doesn't, who gives a fuck. Too much of game is planning a heist like you're stealing the Hope Diamond: neg's and IOI's and A1 and C3 and blah blah blah, spraying dust on the laser beams so you can tumble around them and then crack the safe with a stethoscope. The way you treat fat chicks is like you don't give a fuck, which is as "alpha" as you can possibly be.

The point is, you already have a model of behavior for how you should be treating all women, but you are only using it on unattractive women. You are ironically being more honest and open and real with women you supposedly hold in contempt than ones you supposedly value. And the reality is, they are all "fat chicks." They are fat chicks physically after you've fucked them ten times and get bored. They are fat chicks mentally who couldn't make a room full of people laugh if they had to save their family from getting set on fire. If you had to marry these hot chicks you would kill yourself unless you're just that into validation from your friends and having dudes hit on your girl. There is something wrong with all of them. Deeply wrong. The hottest chick in the world will slowly earn contempt far worse than a fat chick gets right away. Treat them like they honestly are to you, and admit that that's what they are. Fat chicks, broken chicks, unfunny chicks, boring chicks. Dishonest chicks. Game playing chicks. Attention whores. Whatever. Fat of the soul is far worse than fat of the gunt.

Take this model as far as you can go. When you walk in a room, don't notice them. Or brush your eyes over them like a dude who hasn't beat off in five days and is looking at the fattie like a coyote looks at a trash can-- easy meat. Don't be mean, don't be cruel-- when are you actually cruel to fat chicks? If you are, you're an asshole. You don't even *notice* fat chicks. Until they get in your face, they are invisible to you. Until you need them for something. And then you ask them for it directly. And then when you are engaged with them you are maddeningly aloof and distant because you just don't give that much of a fuck, and they text you every god damn day with "dinner 2nite?" Doubtless at some hideous buffet out of Heironymous Bosch. But the way you are with fat chicks is alpha. Not fake alpha, real alpha. The person with something the other person needs, and power over the situation.

Easier said than done, I know. You see a really cute girl and your adrenal gland fires off and gives you the same reaction you have when you've just been in a car accident. But learn to see women the way they really are. They are nothing special. There is only one woman, different faces. And that one woman, sadly, is an insecure, cruel and broken bore. A fat chick in her heart. You will not be happy living with this realization. But you will tear up more ass than a mule tannery. And that's what matters. Right?

And you might be getting some girls going on a rotation and the best one drops you on your ass, what's your inner game gonna tell you? Well, it should tell you this:

(03-12-2014 10:43 PM)Suits Wrote:  When I read the title, my response was, "how can you get dumped if you don't make the mistake of having exclusive relationships?"

Upon reading your post in its entirety, it is clear that you understand that there is nothing to master about getting dumped.

Never put yourself in a position where a woman can dump you. My personal view (and yours may be as well), that if she isn't getting fatter, she hasn't been too crazy recently and she wants to come over and suck my dick, I'm always open for business.

There is no "break up." The deal is always available.

If you are female, a seven or better, weigh under 120 LB, have recently showered and don't plan on being a bitch, you can come satisfy me sexually on any evening where I don't have a prior commitment.

You may chose not to or promise never to again, but I'm always cool with you changing your mind.

There is no "relationship."

Hope these words of advice help you as much as they have helped me. Good luck and stop making excuses, just get out there and have a little fun!

No offence Gustavus, I've not made time to read this fully yet.

Quote:Second, not saying you were trying to be confrontational here; but if you want more responses, I would refrain from using lines like this. It comes across poorly in written form.

I guess I need to tone it down, I'm just familiar with being abrupt about things.

I tried my dumbells today and yes I am weak. I don't know how much was on it because I just wanted to concentrate on the exercise. I did one set only and struggled by the end. I've been out of exercise for eight years now.

I am however, determined to improve, maybe nothing dramatic and I know this is going to be a gradual process.

Very humbled by it.

If I can explain something kind of personal, but maybe to the benefit of others discouraged like myself. I went through a long phase of wanting to get back into exercise but being shamed for my ability (banter really), I didn't like the way these guys behaved and many experienced guys who teach exercise all teach at a level way above my fitness. I'm disgusted with myself at this point but building up my will to change.

POE.
