To re-iterate what previous posters have mentioned and some others, with caveats:

- Scarf, unless I’m supporting my team, or in an extremely cold location. I often see scarves being worn by men who are also wearing t-shirts. Looks gay and stupid.

- Boat shoes, unless I’m on a boat. Never trust a man walking on land in boat shoes.

- Short sleeve shirt. That’s what polo shirts are for (collar never popped however).

- Oversize t-shirt. Is this not just a dress?

- Pin stripe suit. Looks dated in my opinion, as do huge lapels. Lapel width and tie width should match.

- Singlet or t-shirt under shirt (if it can be seen). Akin to visible panty line on a female.

- Vest in an office environment. Maybe for a formal occasion or if I were a dealer at a casino.

And to take it further, how to wear an article of clothing:

- End of tie should touch your belt, not higher nor lower.

- A belt shouldn’t require more than one loop to reign the end of it in. Even worse when you see it poking out from the hip.

- Unless you’re wearing braces (who does these days?), a belt should be worn with slacks/trousers.

- A long sleeve shirt should be tucked in. Looks like you haven’t quite finished getting dressed otherwise.

- Shirts worn with suits shouldn’t have the collar of the shirt sitting on top of the collar of the jacket. It’s not the 1970’s anymore.

- Hats/sunglasses strictly for outdoors only. If sunglasses are taken off, they rest in the “cleavage” of your shirt/t-shirt.

- If you must take a back-pack to work whilst wearing a suit, carry it by the handle by your side, not on your back. Looks as slobbish as wearing sneakers with a suit just to be more comfortable during the walk to the office.

Gold watches (and most watches with a metal bracelet, really.) Pretty much makes me think of this:



That whole stupid look every clueless teenager who wants to be cool is wearing now, a hideous pastiche of Justin Bieber and Kanye West, with knee-length giant tee shirts/sweaters, long chains and other dumb jewelry, skin-tight sweatpants, and Yeezys/similar shoes, usually paired with the Hitler Youth haircut:





Most types of shorts, especially khaki or cargo shorts.

Most khaki pants (screams "I'm an office drone wage slave")

Oakley sunglasses. There's nothing the hell wrong with aviators when they're sized correctly and worn with the right type of outfits, but Oakley screams "I wish it was still 2000 and I could get away with pretending I'm in LFO!"

Bootcut jeans or baggy jeans. A more relaxed fit should look similar to a classic Levis 501, and a proper slim fit should be similar to an APC New Standard or New Cure, with at least 0.5" of room throughout the leg, and not skintight anywhere.

Interesting you mention Hilfiger...I just came back from Poland, Czech Republic and Budapest.....everyone was wearing tommy 24-7!

Baggy jeans = muscular

Tight tops are fine if you are built in the upper body like most RVF members. If you're skinny/obese and wear tight tops = you're a fucking fag!

My go to skiing hat this year is a trucker and I look cool in it, plus I'm sponsored to wear it. So yeah.

Otherwise I agree with you, boys dress like girls and girls dress like boys. It's all a big mess. Every time Im out I walk around a feel like Clint eastwoods character in Gran Torino

I miss the baggy style in the 90s. Since gays got rights in early 2000, it's all turned gay (tight feminine looking clothes). The last 10 years have been a nightmare to find good looking muscular clothes. Jackets use to be thick where now I find most are thin and feminine looking.

Women clothes look muscular. I still remember as a kid my mum buying a new dress or top and always ripping the shoulder pads out!

How about some muscular male clothing brands if any...

I can't do the "preppy" look. I'm working class and also bashed too many rich kids faces in in high school because they never knew danger and thought they could make a joke at my expense.

I'll get suited up all day but no ugly khaki short/pink polo combos for me.

stupid "fashionable" hats like fedoras or bowlers
necklaces or bracelets
capri pants and skinny jeans
tighty whities
cologne...I prefer to grab a handful of the grundle scent and apply for the primal pheromone assault no woman can resist

Here it´s much more expensive here than regular clothes. At first bussiness guys with money started to wear it, but then it became more accessible and a lot of people buy it, even though it´s expensive as hell.

I personally like the style of clothes, but I don´t see any point at spending so much money on clothes, unless you have so much money, that you don´t know what to do with them.
