Here we go folks, it is starting, the state has decided to administer drugs to a minor without parental consent:

This is far from the beginning of the government stepping into the parenting of its citizens, however it is one of the most extreme cases I have seen. This, IMO, warrants a thread.

At 17, you can't buy cigarettes, can't buy guns, can't withdraw from school, can't vote, or have any surgical operations without the help/consent of a parent.
BUT NOPE! Daddy government will dole out estrogen and narcotics like tic tacs, 'cause its 2016 you bigots!'

Calgaro said that Park Nicollet Health Services, Fairview Health Services and the St. Louis County School District will not allow her access to her child’s health records.

She added that he is receiving money from state medical assistance funds to pay for medicine, including hormone treatments and narcotics, and living expenses so he can live independently.

People who want to live as members of the other sex sometimes seek surgery, which is only provided after the person takes body-changing opposite-sex hormones for a year or more. The surgery is irreversible, and the hormones can also cause irreversible damage. Many parents face legal problems when trying to help their teenagers who claim to be members of the opposite sex.

In 2015, Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid wrote a letter to Calgaro saying that she relinquished her legal rights over her child.

The reason for this was the teen said Calgaro wasn’t married when she gave birth and she did not report her child as a runaway six months after he left home, even though she had legal custody of the child.

Calgaro lives in northeastern Minnesota while her son lives in central Minnesota.

Calgaro doesn’t oppose her son’s sex-change decision for moral or religious reasons, she just wants her child to wait until he’s more mature to make a life-altering decision, her lawyer said.

“Not only was I robbed of the opportunity to help my son make good decisions, but I also feel he was robbed of a key advocate in his life, his mother,” Calgaro said.

A Minnesota judge ruled this week that a ban on gender reassignment surgery for those on Medicaid was unconstitutional.

I actually want to thank the trannies. I was accepting of gays, no-fault divorce, single-parent families - until this started catching on, and at a pretty fast clip, too.

When Facebook got all outraged at that woman at Planet Fitness freaking out over a man being in the dressing room (turned out it was a man, complete with penis, who "identified" as a woman), I think that was when I said "Jesus - these people are nuts."

When you add up the number of agencies paying for this kids gender re-assignment in a era where municipal, state and federal government are running short of money... It makes my head spin that this is even a priority at all, or more realistically, a reason why they're running out of money in the first place.

That said - the mother had relinquished her legal rights to her son. He is legally emancipated - so..... Why would she ever be called? It's completely ridiculous.

Two things; One, it is unclear if her custody was relieved before or after drugs had been first administered. Two, in the wording of the article, it seemed as though she was told by the state that she no longer has custody.

That begs the question; did the drug treatment start while the child was still in custody of the mother, and then when the drama began did they force emancipation?

I wonder if this woman will acknowledge that this destruction was wrought by the fact that she gave birth OUT OF WEDLOCK? She whored about, gave birth to a son with no legal father, and the state took custody because even in advanced Western societies, a single mother can't afford the price of rearing a child while living any sort of decent life.

I'm not trying to kick the lady when she's down; Lord knows we've all made similar mistakes, being raised in a culture that pretends that sex has nothing to do with reproduction, and I'm certainly not demanding some sort of public shaming - I just hope she realizes that this rotten fruit stems from feminism, sexual liberation, and socialism.

This is stupid on so many levels. Morality and Religion are cultural guides which have evolved over the centuries to produce successful societies. The current transgender mania is equally moral and religious, it's just built off of shakier foundations. How about we claim scientific reasons that support the premise that traditional religion and morality are better, safer guides for individuals, than modern morality, which is nothing more than an unethical social experiment writ large?

Sadly that is exactly what it is. If a boy is only slightly boisterous in class, ADHD is rung through the halls. If boys wrestle or rough house, they are sent to the principles and reprimanded instantaneously. It is meant to make boys submit from a young age and not fight against anything.

Here is a perfect example: Taxes.

We fought an entire country when there was a 2% tax on TEA. Now? We pay half of our income to the government. We just submitted.
