The term is now used to insult men. It used to be used to compliment women.

Notice, one usage is correct, one incorrect.

A virgin is girl/woman who hasn't had sex.

As a 40 something man a virgin to me is any girl in her 20s without kids regardless of how many times or guys she's had sex with.
