I wouldn't want the power of the Elite. I care about different things, and I prefer to make a difference in my local community and in the lives of those around me. Small cities around me have had 'Elite' benefactors like the founders of Amway and Stryker, and that's what I would be. Fronting the cash to improve my community.

I also wouldn't hoard tens of millions in a bank account. Ever. It would be a violation of my principles to keep more than I need locked away for myself when there are so many in need. Biblical teachings seal the deal on this point.
