So I was speeding and even after court appeals, lost my driving license. I need my license for work, so my boss (super cool playa) and I were talking and he said that while I can't work for him, I could do bartending (during the Aussie summer).

My boss and I agreed it would be a mad job to have fun, meet people and bang chicks - the job is not serious and I'm pretty much just using it to have fun (obviously I will still work hard). He has got heaps of connections and said he will get me bartending into any place I want out of the places our company deals with, which is cool.

I'm sure I'll get the lay of the land once I start working, but...

Just wanted to hear from you guys any cool experiences with the Females you had bartending, and any tips for a newbie in the job in general or for getting chicks while working.

I've bartended before, and probably the most important thing is just being a good bartender. Take care of your customers, male or female, ugly or hot, and it all pays off. No one likes the bartender that is just angling for hot chicks and slacking on their work

One time I brought a girl home and fucked her twice.. from a Monday lunch shift. This included a 30 minute subway ride. Her dad called her right when we walked into my apartment while I was simultaneously rubbing her pussy.

Another time I felt like absolute shit before work, blew off all the things I wanted to get done that day before work, got high instead and laid around like a piece of shit. The thought that I was going to get laid that night, in the state of mind I was in, would have been laughable. Then I get to work and the man from above dropped a thirsty ho in my lap that night who, for whatever reason, was dead set on getting fucked that night. Took her right back to my spot and smashed then listened to her talk about her BF was a loser.

It is a sure thing that opportunities present themselves to you if you're relatively attractive. You never know when this is going to happen. Be ready to pull the trigger.

Don't go too hard or be sleazy with hitting on girls. Make you're intentions known subtly, and be perceptive as to whether they're buying what you're selling or not. If they aren't interested, back off. Pick your spots.

Other than that, normal game rules apply. Be fun and playful, don't give out free drinks just because a chick is hot and being friendly, tease them for being alcoholics, make you're attention a scarce resource, push-pull, flirt with the cute waitresses and other chicks at the bar for preselection, develop relationships with cool male regulars (don't fucking cockblock guys at the bar hitting on chicks!!!) use the position you're in to demonstrate that you're a fun and easy going guy that is well liked by everyone.

And like Sonoma said, be a good bartender. Be quick and efficient, learn a little bit of flair stuff to do (don't overdo it and come off looking like a try-hard show off). Don't drop shit and break glasses. One tip I'll say is never look away from your hand until you've fully set at glass down, most of the time's I've broken shit it was when I was recoiling my arm having already turned my head away. Like everything else, there's a learning curve but you can shorten this up if you stay focused and mentally present with what you're doing FIRST, and worry about other shit (girls) second.

Have fun but know that it is hard work. Normally you just see bartenders in the middle of the shift primetime, moving and grooving. You don't see them at 2am when they're cleaning up the bar, taking out trash and other BS after a 10 hour shift.

One last thing. Knowing Spanish is a big plus. Depending where you are, most of the guys working in the kitchen will be hispanic. In the kitchen, i'm always the most popular one from the front of house because I can speak Spanish, so I'm always the one getting the best food hookups. Also, it's great for girls at the bar to see you speaking spanish with the bussers and food runners.

Here's another gem. I was bartending a private party of about 50 people one night and some lady came up and handed this to me.

"My husband (we are not monogamous) will be out of town Oct. 13-ish [phone number]"

As with above, it's super important to take care of your regulars. Usually that doesn't mean some hot chick, it's going to be mostly men. A lot of guys are just paying money to be at a place where they feel respected and comfortable, and it's your job to make sure they feel that way.

The best bars I've been at have people who feel comfortable with everyone else there, and bartenders get the best tips when customers are happy

I think one of the things I'll like about it is being a sick wingman for the cool regulars, making 'em look slick, and helping get them laid ;-p

The social part of the job will be fun I reckon, can't wait. Social engineering is always fun.

Here in Aus, a lot of the kitchen staff are Nepalese. I've found a simple "Namaste/danyavat... benchod" with a cheeky smirk gets a laugh and gets me in their good books ("hello/thanks...sisterfucker", benchod is hindi actually, but they understand it).
