Turkish guys do not bother me however they do not help us foreigners converse as easily and chill with the local Ukrainian guys. I like to run social game and to listen in on people's conversations and just have a friendly, inquisitive vibe when I travel. Unfortunately have had cold receptions from local guys until I switched from English to Russian and stated that I was from the Baltics. Even though I am as pale as a "snowflake" if a single guy is talking a foreign language in a club, especially a club that is frequented by a lot of foreigners, suspicions will naturally arise.
Fewer foreigners in Kiev would help all of us but we are partly to blame for the "sex tourist" stigma as well. Afterall, how many of us love tourists have made a local girl feel bad by being too drunk and running overbearing direct game on them? I know I have

There are "team Turks" all over the city, but I don't really feel that these guys are a competition. They target 4-6 range girls, and harass them with no real results. It is rare to see a Turkish guy with a really attractive Ukrainian chick.

They have a bad reputation, due to lack of game.

It does create a problem however. If you look Latin, darker or just tanned you have a risk of being confused for a Turk, that will have bad effect on your opener. So make sure to let the girl that you are not ASAP.

The infamous "Team Turk" is the name given by RVF's crew in Kiev to numerous trios of Turks. There are always three. They always look the same, they harass the waitresses, the shopkeepers and girls walking pass.

If "Teams Turk" discover game, we will be seriously threatened.

I am living in Vilnius, I am Latin looking and actually born and raised in Norway (parents from Asia), anyway here girls high five me, when they ask me if I am Turkish, and I say no I am not, how can you think that about me.

To answer the question in the thread name "What scared Ukraine's "Sex tourists" away?" I can say - NOTHING! They are still there.
Normal tourists stopped coming, sex tourist remained. They, or even we (although I consider myself a love tourist) have the biggest incentive.

That is a demand and supply situation, only slightly reversed. As long as there is supply of beautiful women, men will find ways to get there, sometimes even when it is involves risk. Although I find Ukraine (Kiev, Lviv, Odessa) to be safe.

@Diego1993: I am often being confused for a Turk in Kiev. Sometimes I approach girls and open them in English, ask them where do they think I am from. 60-70% say Turkey. But when I start speaking fluent Russian I see their attitude change 180 degrees. They start smiling and warm up.

There might be nothing wrong with Turks as a nationality but their reputation in Kiev is terrible.

All you need to do is find two more guys and form a trio. Then you are alright

Don't worry about it too much. Just make sure you let the girl know within 1st minute of interaction that you are not Turkish.

Just mention briefly where you come from.

Their reputation (along with the Arabs who are a lot worse) is not all that good in Minsk either. As long as you avoid certain sex-tourist traps like Next, Blackhall Bar and Dozari, you should be fine. A couple of weeks ago I was eating outside Grunwald in Karl Marx Street with a mate from the UK and we thought we were in Baghdad. If you could throw your pork chop in any random direction, you would have hit one of the cunts. That area is sex tourist central with Next, Versus Strip Club, Crown Plaza and Minsk Hotel all within a stone's throw of each other. I view them as no competition as their game for the most part is poor and it usually involves a mixture of groping, harassment and "sex 100 dollar".

Last night I was in TNT Rock Club with a date and thankfully it was clear of them.

I am Turkish, and reading the comments here it makes me think that most guys here are jealous of Turkish men. Whether you like it or not Turkish men have natural game (caveman), we don't sit in the corner sipping beers while watching the girls dance like you western men, we go out there and approach. Looks wise we are not bad at all, and girls love our macho style. I've been to Ukraine over 15 times since the visa requirement was lifted. Yes some girls don't like Turkish men, but I did not have any trouble bedding these women in all my visits, if one says no move to next its a numbers game. I love Ukraine.

I always go to the clubs in style, suited up. My ethnicity has not withheld me from attracting these beautiful women.

If Turkish men were really horrible and bad at game you guys would not be afraid of us coming and gaming in those countries.

The fact the Turks can come often or bring the girls over to Turkey inexpensively makes them prime sugar daddy targets but I rarely saw them with hot girls.
Walking around Kiev with the quality of the girls I was meeting I definitely got some looks over from them.

The thing is Turkish men are like box of chocolates you never know what you'll get. Just because a person is dark skinned doesn't mean he is Turkish. If he is from Trabzon/Rize chances are he will be blonde with coloured eyes, if he is from Izmir he will be olive skinned and will look more "Greek" compared to the "Turkish" look you have in your mind.

One of my wingman is from Ordu, he is blonde with green eyes. Most girls don't believe he is Turkish and are shocked after finding out. Another mate of mine is of Circassian descent, most girls don't believe he is Turkish either.

There is no such thing as a Turkish look, Turkey is a country with a huge variation when it comes to looks. Person from the east will look completely different from a person that lives near the black sea. You cannot generalize Turks based on looks.

Regarding on why we roll in groups of 3 I seriously don't know. Just realized after reading this topic I usually roll into clubs in groups of 3 too Well in my group I'm the one who approaches because I have 0 approach anxiety

In Medellin I hung out with 2 Turkish brothers, late 20s -early 30s. Met them at intensive Spanish class.

Ran into them out at the club one night. They are are smiles, shots, dancing constantly and one was constantly approaching. He was good looking guy, jacked, short, looked like an Abercrombie and Finch model circa 2006. Both were a bit cheesy and cartoonish, great guys though. Going out every single night all night whenever they could apparently.

I wouldn't say they were as smooth with words, body language, or tactics to get laid. They were just caveman, last man standing, smile and cheers everyone types.
