I'd say the feria de Cali is a must if you're in Colombia for Christmas. If I was there for the month of December I'd do a week in Bogota, then a week in Medellin (with the option to stay an extra 2-3 days in either city) then a few days in the coffee zone to chill out (Manizales, Pereira and Salento) and give the liver a break and see some nice scenery, drink some coffee, hiking, etc. Then arrive in Cali on the 23/24 and party it up at the feria until the 30/31st and either fly out of Colombia for NYE or if you want to stay longer there's still some decent party options in early January but typically the country will be quiet (except for the vacationers on the Caribbean coast) because everyone spent all of their money during Xmas, here's some early January party options:

-Storyland Cartagena January 6-7-8, big outdoor EDM festival.

-Feria de Manizales Januray 2-8

-Carnaval de Blancos y negros, Pasto January 2-7

In the past I've done the feria de Cali then chilled out on the Pacific coast or in the coffee zone over NYE (I'm not a big fan of that night anywhere in the world) then hit up the feria de Manizales, I've never been to the one in Pasto but can imagine as a Gringo you'd stand out there and have a good time. Besides NYE, December and early January can be a really fun time in Colombia. Before mid-December its pretty normal in the big cities but that changes once the 15th comes and people start taking their holidays.

Tend to agree with you Scotian been to all the big cities you suggested aswell as the smaller in Zona Cafateria.

Barca rules for tourist pussy in summer.I noticed alot of EE there now.Plus you got Euro birds flying in for a weekend trip with the girls.

Dare I say for us None Americans the.. USA.
I like Arizona and LV Nevada this time of year (sept-oct).
I just love Vegas for game.
