French police have just caught the culprits, a mixed bunch of youngish migrants and (mostly older) gypsies - which is quite a surprise as usually, Islamist migrants work in competition with, and defiance of, gypsies.

Does anyone else get the sense that when high profile crimes are committed the police just arrest the nearest thugs they can get their hands on in order to preserve the appearance of law and order?

What I'm reading is that the three offenders were caught on CCTV in the reflection of a mirror facing the camera in what the detectives describe as a "million to one chance".

And yet...
