San Francisco dudes are the reigning simp champions across the country, according to this survey. Damn I knew it was bad, but damn.

I've been to the bay area a couple times. By far, the WORST place for Tinder. Almost no matches, and just plain female entitlement. Obviously 150,000 swipes is a bit ridiculous, but spending even a couple days makes you appreciate online dating in Asia / Europe.

San Francisco is the worst city for men in the US. Hands down.

Dude has a six-figure job, 31, decent looking, went on 150 Tinder dates in four months and can't get a girlfriend. Either his game is absolutely cringe-worthy or he is simply in a bad location. Feel sorry for the guy.

Tell this man to get on E-Harmony.

Nope.

Yeah. In my final estimation the problem is likely straightforward. It's not necessarily his looks, the nature of Tinder, personality, game (or lack thereof.) But it's one that all newbies to game struggle with: he just doesn't know how to escalate. He's uncomfortable with it for some reason, doesn't feel comfortable with putting the moves on or with his own sexuality, been fed feminist propaganda that touching girls without "affirmative consent" is creepy, whatever.

I certainly don't think all the chicks he met up with were rent-seeking or weren't attracted to him. He got one bitch to go out on like five fucking dates with him. Five dates?! He probably left her in a state of dismay that he didn't slip her the D already. I've never got a girl to meet up with me five times before sex, that's for sure. If I don't bang her on the first I usually don't even get a second. Say what you want about his "text game", but if you can use cheesy opening lines like he did and still pull her into the real world so what, what works works.

He's like the "relationship negotiator" women in their 30s who want you to essentially sign on for a relationship before you've even sampled the goods. He wants a girl who's going to sign on to be his monogamous LTR before he's even taken her top off. It's not the way it works, pal, at least not anymore (if it ever did.) Girls want to sample the goods too, so fucking make out with her in your car and then take her home already.

Could've likely gotten laid within about 10 dates, and a LTR girl well within 20.

But it's clear he's got some kind of "bad girl/good girl" true romantic mentality so hard that putting in the escalation that's required to even qualify yourself to a girl for a relationship of some type would shatter his illusions.

I strongly resembled that comment. Dodgy

It isn't like he's blowing money on dates either $6000 / 150 is $40.00. That's not a crazy amount (per date I mean). So at least he isn't a thirsty mofo

Even 30 year old former whores are letting him pass? man that's bad, that shows how far we've fallen.

But anyways, yea I agree on one thing, he's on twitter if someone wants to send him the travel section, very easy to look him up. He even retweeted something about the wage gap being a myth, maybe he's already on the right track haha.
Considering how wealthy he is, why the hell is he bothering using Tinder, instead hitting up some upper-scale clubs or venues, joining a Yoga class, or if he's an intellectual type of guy, a philosophy club or something?

A lot of girls are still reluctant to meet guys over the internet even in this day and age, and many who do don't seem to have any serious interest in dating, because if they're quality girls who have plenty of viable options in their area then why are they bothering with a dating app?

Most likely some of them just learned it's an easy way to get a free lunch.

Why would a gold digger settle for 6 digits, when she can find 7/8/9 in the valley?

When you play the money game, unless your name is Gates/Slim/Buffett, etc - you're going to lose.

There's also another level of game here that hasn't been mentioned.

He wrote about how he wants a girlfriend and circulated it in a unique form on medium.com. From there, he got his picture in the Daily Mail and maybe more media.

That might get him to his goal.

Yeah, I agree he almost certainly has anti-game. If your pitch is all wrong, it doesn't matter how many people you deliver it to.

Related: I recall one guy who went on Millionaire Matchmaker. He came across as smooth, and also genuine in looking for a woman to settle down with.

He mentioned that after the show went to air, he got 1,000 girls contacting him with adds on Facebook.

Think for a minute about how much work it would otherwise take to get a 1k pipeline of strongly interested girls happening.

The social proof in Bay Area guy's case is nowhere near the same. But still, he will get some good leads from this.

People that get on Shark Tank but don't get deals, usually get a bump in sales and more interest.

This guy was completely unaware of his competitive position and environment!

His choose a bad tool and a bad strategy.

Using TINDER in SAN FRANCISCO to look for a GIRLFRIEND is.....

THE WORST IDEA I HAVE HEARD IN A LONG, LONG, TIME!

"Everyone" in San Francisco knows that!

Well, "everyone" but this guy!

Tinder is yesterdays news around here.

The cool, attractive people moved on from Tinder years ago!

He has no one to blame but himself

He tried to compete in a competitive environment with bad tool and a bad plan.

I'm sure his Tinder profile was terrible as well.

---

I like stories like this because it fascinates me when people with high IQ's make stupid decisions!

I see it all the time and it's interesting to me..

Often times, pride and ignorance get in the way..

Yes!

E-Harmony would have been a better choice because it screens for marriage minded, religious, etc.
type people and matches based on extensive personality testing.

He also could have hired a matchmaker.

***

He also could have hired someone to create some effective/attractive social media accounts.

He could have tried talking to 2 or 3 girls that he liked, everyday, or a few times a week.

***

He could have pm'd me on the RVF

There were many options that were far better than Tinder!

It's laughable.

Again, it fascinates me when smart people do stupid things!

I guess everyone has two sides to their brain and it can hard to master both.

So many L's.

Why is he broadcasting his failure?

What he's doing clearly isn't working. Why is he still doing it?

Don't wish it were easier. Become better.

Pathetic.

I don't just want what I want. I want it, in the way that I want it.

I've seen more gay men in the Republic of Georgia (dudes making out in the park especially) than in a western country. Bad gender ratios / dating market = some men give up and go gay. It's super true.

I always thought that was just an American cultural custom.

Where I grew up I almost never heard of a guy taking a woman out to a fancy dinner or anything. The most I ever did for a woman was treat her to super dirt cheap coffee or donuts (never hot food cause that shit is expensive ya know).

If he's just taking women out to dinners then it's very hard to escalate that into sex unless the restaurant is next to his house.

The 1/3 of women who went on a second date with him were probably expecting to get banged but he probably went soft-gay on them.

Maybe the culture is different in San Francisco but I thought most Americans were homebodies? Shouldn't it be super easy to ask a woman to come to your place?

Is it just me, or do those stats make absolutely no sense?

150 first dates
52 second dates
17 third dates
0 relationships, and presumably, 0 bangs

1/3 of first dates leading to a second is unreal. Seriously. My first date game is good enough that I can usually escalate things to a well-reciprocated kiss if I have the desire to, and I probably only convert ~1/5 of first dates to second dates. Converting 1/3 with fucking coffee dates suggests to me that he has no standards himself and is dealing with the desperate bottom of the barrel.

17 third dates and no girlfriend... how this is possible is beyond me. My experience is that a 3rd date = she wants you, period, to the point where it's basically impossible to fuck up. I can't jive this statistic with the reality I exist in... and then it becomes 100x more bizarre when you consider that his game is good enough to get 1/3 of first dates out on a second. It all sounds made up, too absurd to be believed.

Also 200,000 swipes? There's no way in hell there are that many female Tinder users in his area.

Indeed. It's a miserable life that I briefly led before realizing I controlled my own destiny. Many here have also learned the same and bailed out of the corporate grind.

But I don't feel sorry for the majority of these individuals. They are conformist down to their core. They don't understand that making a living does not necessarily equate to reporting to a cubicle for 12-16 hours a day, 6 days a week, just like they don't understand that typing thirsty comments to women on social media or dating apps does not lead to attraction. It's not just that they don't have time to learn game, it's that they refuse to.

Morpheus said it best:

Quote:You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.
