I just read all 50 pages of LINUX's thread, Atlantic's thread of 6 months in Bogota, and a couple of others. That LINUX thread was fucking amazing. Found myself laughing nearly every page and despite the pictures being removed because of some scumbag who doesn't understand omertà, I was still able to enjoy it using my imagination. Absolute beast. Hope you found who it was and they got their ass handed to them.

Atlantic, I loved reading that you sold everything and made the official move, absolutely amazing! LINUX, and anyone else for that matter who may be in the process, I would love to purchase a property in Cali and one in Bogota to renovate and then rent out. My job situation got fucked a few months ago and I recently just got back from Peru (did a 10 day Ayahausca retreat and then made my way down to Machu Picchu for some self-reflection and overall spiritual journey type of stuff). I've got a good amount of money saved up and I'm looking to invest into something. I just don't know if I can go back to a typical office job grind but this can be a discussion for another time though.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I'm sharing planning duties with the groom's half-brother for the bachelor party of one of my best friends who I have known for almost 25 years. I have a good friend who was at one last year in Cartagena (less than 10 guys I think) and got connected with a Madame who handled a good portion of their trip. Hooked it up with yachts, drogas, villas (though they booked first without knowing she could've gotten a place cheaper for them) and of course the women (prepagos). I saw one picture and these girls were smokes and they had them for a full 24 hours. I wanted to do my research first before contacting her and I came across this forum. Wish I had known about this place years ago...this should be the forum tagline.

After reading the threads it seems that the use of prepagos is somewhat frowned upon and/or not common among the gentleman here. I definitely get the sense that they should not be trotted out in public and to maintain a low profile if doing so. This I can totally understand but with only 4-5 nights planned and 20 guys, there is not much time to pipeline girls for "dates" and what not. This needs to be a typical gringo douchebag event that is a balls to the wall nonstop raging party. I hate to be those guys who come to a country and act like those stereotypical american assholes but I don't think we have time to adjust to any "gaming/societal" norms. We're not frat bros or anything like that and we do like classy things but we want to have as wild an experience as possible, hope you guys can understand. Obviously we don't want any trouble with anyone and will show the country and those we encounter with respect, it's just that we have to take things plaid with the time frame we have.

A little background on us...

We were not expecting all 20 guys to say yes to this thing. This is a yyyuuuge group and from the reading I did, it sounds like this amount of guys might not be ideal at all for nightlife haha. Not sure what you guys will recommend but unfortunately this is the size of the group...maybe a couple will drop out closer to the date (end of march) so let's call it 15-20 guys. We're all from NYC and between the ages of 29-32. Majority are decent looking guys, great jobs and several come from crazy money. All of us are former party degenerates (we've already started making a Deadpool) and used to go real hard but we have slowed down a bit as we've gotten older. Now having said that, we'd like to bring back those glory days of debauchery. However, I'm having trouble finding housing that can accommodate this large of a group (at least in Cartagena). Most of the places seem to have some form of staff that stay on during the stay and these were non-hotels (at least they seemed to be). I also wanted to get some pricing before reaching out to this Madame but I'm now kind of thinking that Cartagena might not be the best spot for us based on what I read in the threads, is that accurate? We just want someone to hand us the keys to their mansion and leave us be during our stay.

Also, I came across a boat party that takes place every weekend in Cholon...has anyone been or know anything about it? I want to try and have some activities planned that all of us can partake in that are fun and have a partying vibe. Any other things like this that we can do? How fucked are we rolling around with 20 guys? We will definitely try to hit up Tinder/CC and just invite girls to our spot everyday and have day/night parties but we'd like to experience the country a bit too, if possible.

Any sites for housing, general advice, day/night life recommendations and any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Haha that's kind of the TL;DR but would like some specifics as far as best city to stay and party in as well as other things to do besides rage at a house. I looked up spots on airbnb in cartagena but got mixed results and again, it seemed like there was staff on site. Plus it looked like there were multiple listings of the same place but with different hosts which is pretty sketchy. I also read that one of the places was trying to pass off as a home but it actually ended up being a hotel/hostel type of place.

I suggest you take your inquiry on a monger site. Panama would suit your needs IMHO. Casinos that are fairly decent, hotels/packages that suit larger groups, whores from various countries incl. Colombia. Venezuela etc. English will be spoken more in certain circles. The trade off, it will be more expensive and safer.

You have 2 posts only. Not to be a dick, but you would get more detailed information if you Dropped some info yourself.

You said you read the city threads, but you asked which is the best city. Simple dude, read each city thread and then decide which city sounds like a better fit.

I'd hate to be the guy responsible for 20 dudes in Colombia. I once entertained four Canuck oil patch dudes down there and it was a pretty big headache, we rented a 6 bedroom apartment that took up the entire floor, 2 blocks from Bogota's zona rosa, I had an ounce of the purest coke I could find and a huge bag of ganja and the fridge was full of booze. I hired 2 bodyguards (deported friends of mine who speak fluent Spanish/English) and we picked the guys up at El Dorado in a van, took them to the apartment to get the party started then went straight to Sante Fe, Bogota's "zona de tolerencia" where you can buy blow from the waiters at the strip club and bang girls in front of the crowd for free and they'll give you a free bottle of booze. The boys went nuts on drugs and boner pills and the number of whores taken up stairs to bang was definitely in the double digits that night and two of the guys had a competition to see how many hookers they could bang, the winner took down 15 in 10 days. One of the guys, who I had never met was a complete idiot and I'm surprised he didn't get killed on the trip but he had a couple of close calls, the funniest one being when he made out with a tranny at a club in Santa Marta, then my buddy (who invited this guy) punched him and the idiot fell into a bunch of thorny bushes in front of a group of taxi drivers who laughed at him and the guy almost cried. Overall it was a successful trip but I couldn't imagine trying to organize a trip for 20 dudes.

Anyway, good luck, I didn't see any mention of your Spanish language skills or previous travel in Colombia or Latin America, so I'm advising against it.

For four or five nights, fly into Bogota and land on a Wednesday morning. Get hotels rooms at Crowne Plaza Suites Tequendama Bogota in Sante Fe. That's a nine minute walk to the titty bars. You'll be in a sketchy part of town but fuck it, use your head.

That takes care of Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights partying 6pm,- 4am.. Use the days to recover. Hotel rooms will cost you about 50 bucks a night.

I've been to Sante Fe about 20 times now. Only once did something bad happen when I was with Scotian and a crack head try to shank him.

So given those odds, one of you 20 gringos might get stabbed... But at least it's going to make for one hell of a story.

I only caution you on one thing, 20 gringos doing blow, Viagra, and fucking can be disastrous.

Play it smart so no one has a heart attack.

I did read those threads but they were more geared towards the solo, small group (under 4 guys) traveling experience vs. say a larger group such as 20 guys. This will require entirely different planning and the cities that these guys traveled in may not be suitable for a bigger group so I was trying to get an idea as to what city they would recommend based on the details I provided. I apologize for not interacting in other threads to get a feel for the forum and etitiquite. I meant no disrespect, I just considered this a completely different situation than the typical posts that are made.

That's really funny. I've had just as many gringo homeless people ask me for money as Colombian homeless people. Do these guys come down here from the US because the drugs are cheaper? Must be from spirit and their cheap flights.

Hahaha thanks scotian, this is the kind of information I was looking for, that sounds crazy. I was unaware of Santa Fe and the laissez-faire attitude there. This is all great stuff. Yeah, it really sounds like rolling 20 deep is not the most ideal situation but it's what everyone is set on. I know only a little bit of spanish but I was able to get around Peru myself taking combi/colectivos throughout the cities and speaking to some locals. Not sure about the other guys in the group. However, since coming back 2 weeks ago, I've downloaded every spanish speaking torrent I could get my hands on to learn the language. My goal is to get to a conversational level before this trip.

With this many guys, would you recommend getting a few body guards?

Bro, just go to some small town with these guys and you'll be fine. You can keep them all together without anyone getting lost or fucking kidnapped or worrying about who is missing. The most beautiful places in Colombia are the small towns in the countryside. Fuck the big city if you have that many dudes. Someone is bound to get lost or fucked up by the police or robbed or drugged in a bar.

Some GREAT little towns I loved (and there's plenty of small-town ass to grab onto):

Salento
Guatape
San Gil
Villa de Leyva
Filandia
Manizales (not really small, but 5 universities with hot girls EVERYWHERE and nice people)
Zipa (I don't remember the whole name. They just called it Zipa. North of Bogota)
San Rafael

I got laid in Bogota and Medellin. But I got laid like a MUTHERFUCKER in the little towns. The big city girls aren't much impressed by gringos. They see gringos all the time and play headgames (I'm looking at you, Paisas).

In the little towns, they've seen the same dirt-broke fuckers their entire lives and suddenly there's a new, interesting group of gringos in town that wanna party with blue or green eyes and have 50 times more cash than anyone they know. If you grew up in a little town and 20 hot Swedish girls showed up to party, wouldn't you drop everything to hang out with them for a few nights?

The small town girls are bored with small town life. They want some excitement. Go check it.

Addendum: I think Popayan is also an easy place to hook up. I was 15 minutes off the bus and a shop girl asked me to go dancing with her. I didn't and then she was gone later because the shop closed at 8pm when I came back. But it's a trashy third world looking city. I saw a guy taking a huge dook on the sidewalk. And I felt like I was about to get robbed the entire time. But hey, easy ass in Popayan.

I've never been to Colombia, but sounds like a place where you have to be especially mindful of your surroundings and especially what you do and say to others.

A group of 5 experienced guys is one thing, but 20 young and drunk noobs roaming the streets of Colombia? One of you is bound to say or do something stupid to the wrong person and then everyone will get involved and it all quickly spirals out of control.

This reminds me of a movie trailer that starts out happy and ends up with everyone fighting for their lives.

It's hard enough to watch yourself from doing the wrong thing, but multiply that by 20?

Why are you all giving this guy information? Twenty guys for a bachelor party is exactly the kind of thing that ruins a place for guys like me and most of you that generally roll solo and quietly go about our business. Seriously this guy should be banned not helped.
