Salsa dance - not to be confused with a Mexican sauce



I have been inspired by this post by TrippleG to write a Salsa datasheet in EE.
I am aware of some other existing salsa threads and I think they are worth checking out.

In this datasheet I am going to talk about salsa in Eastern Europe and benefits of salsa generally.

Looking back I think being beta in my pre-game days is one of the best thing that has ever happened to me. I avoided direct approach, that lead me to improving myself in such ways as learning to play guitar and sing, joining a choir, developing karaoke and salsa game. I was ready to invest money and time. And was directing my sexual energy in development. Now I am not the same man. Girls come easier and some days I would easily cancel a date just to get few extra hours of sleep.

The good thing about salsa is that it is like riding a bicycle. Once you learn it you can do it all your life. Sure you will stick to these 10 moves you know the best but this will be enough to constitute a dance. Just start dancing and let the muscle memory take care of the rest.

I come from Eastern Europe and girls number 2,3,4 and 5 in my life were all from Salsa parties and Salsa classes, so I think I have a good overview.
I have danced Salsa in following parts of the world: Ukraine, Russia, Baltics, Netherlands, UK and even Thailand.
I am far from being great, but also I don't suck. So those of you who know more, chime in if I am making any mistakes on styles and other minute details.

Any dance is a representation of sexual act between a man and a woman. This is subconscious but there is no way of hiding from it. Man leads a woman follows. Motion, dimmed light, sweat... Some forms of dance even include friction and skin to skin contact, I will talk about this later.

Why salsa and pros:

*I consider salsa game a part of social game. It eases your opening part. It is great for beginners in game, to build up your initial package of social skills in an easy playful manner.
*Salsa party is just another party, it has a high concentration of girls, with whom you already share a subject to talk about - dancing. Even if your dancing sucks you can just go around and approach in your normal style. Although you can achieve better results via dancing.
*One of the greatest benefits is that you don't need alcohol to run Salsa game. And most of the girls will be sober too. They will be high on music and motion.
*Salsa is great for improving your posture, sense of music, coordination and it generally gives you good mood. Salsa on a cold winter night gets you in a summer mood.
*In Eastern Europe the competition you will face is pathetic. Majority of guys will be geeky betas without game. I think most of your potential real competition is just to shy to go dancing cause they think dancing is gay. They are missing out.
*I have never encountered any form of aggression on a salsa party. No drunken fights no rudeness. There will be no prostitutes too.
*For people outside of Salsa circle, the fact that you dance will be a DHV. Mention it in your conversation or put a video of you dancing with a pretty girl on your social media.
*In a big EE city there will be a salsa party on every day of the week or at least every 2nd day. It is very good, especially when conventional nightlife is limited to Friday and Saturday nights.
*Most of the times the men to women ratio will be in your favor, again because majority of guys think dancing is gay.
*Dancing salsa greatly improves your dance floor game as many sexy movements and dips easily translate to be used with other music styles.
*I have noticed that if you are comfortable dancing with a girl, especially bachata, most likely you will be compatible in bed.




Approach a girl, take her hand and dance. 99% of the time, your invitation will be accepted. As you dance start a light conversation going. Few jokes here and there few comments about her looks or her style. You control the dance, you make it. Use the simple movements, after some vigorous spinning to chat.
Don't dance more than 2 dances at the same time. After a break and dancing with someone else, go back to a preferred girl. After one more dance don't let her go and start chatting. Make sure to stand close to her or keep some sort of physical contact so other guys will not steal her for a next dance. From now on your usual game applies.
I have personally never had a SNL from salsa, as in EE there is normally no drinking involved. I still believe this is doable, depending on your game. I had few instadates though.
If you already met a girl once outside of salsa, then you can use salsa as a date, escalate a bit during close dances such as Bachata then go to some place more quiet. Avoid kissing on a dance floor, this is a very rare thing at parties in EE.



In EE during salsa lessons there is nearly always a scarcity of men. So men stand in their positions forming a circle around the class and women change every few minutes in a circle fashion so that spare girls can have their go. This is perfect as you will have a chance to run your game on every girl one after another. Make few jokes, be social. After a while you will be the number 1 guy in the group. Trust me the competition is not there.
Not all the women will be great but there will be few hotties. After the end of the class be the first guy at the exit. I envy you if you are a smoker cause now you have a perfect excuse to be there and wait for girls exiting. Start a chat with a girl you liked most and go for an instadate or a number close.
As I am not a smoker I would normally stay outside and start a conversation with somebody, then just draw a girl I like into that group chat and so some social juggling.
Off course that is not the only way but it worked well.
I preferred girls from classes comparing to girls from parties as you are still able to save them. They have not yet been exposed to salsa party cock carousel are not yet addicted. Also you can invite them home under a pretense of working on some moves (practicing Bachata undressed and in horizontal position)



It is funny that most of the world dances LA and NY salsa styles, except Russia, Ukraine and Latin American countries.
Some say the reason for that is the friendship with Cuba, and that many Cuban immigrants brought Casino - Cuban style of salsa to FSU.
I prefer LA myself. Most of the good level dancers will be able to dance LA with you. Some will even prefer it as they know that when they go abroad to a Salsa Congress that is what everybody will be dancing.

Bachata. Simple dance but if danced in a close position it can be described as sex while standing and with the clothes on. Babies can be made while dancing bachata
Dance bachata pasionatly with a girl you know, tak her home, have sex.



Go to classes, listen to salsa music in your spare time. The big one that helped me was to think of salsa moves and combinations in my head.
If you want to grow quick go to classes to various different schools at the same time (this will also give you more targets), but real fast growth will come only after you get personal classes with a teacher one on one. This is times more effective than group lessons.
Start attending salsa parties ASAP and don't be shy to invite any one. Just make sure to smile while you are dancing and trying to have fun. For some girls it is even more important than you knowing all these cool moves.
If you don't want to spend any money, take a girl from salsa home, bang her. After that open youtube and practice, you can find everything there to become at least an intermediate dancer.



Many benefits of salsa work in the same way in other social dances. Be it Tango, Kizomba, Zouk or others. I have met one Chilean guy in Kiev, who is a tango master. Dude is in his 40ties and is not particularly attractive, but he bangs the hottest chicks ever. I was not interested in tango, as it always seemed as a dance for older people. But according to him tango crowd in Moscow is very young and sexy. I want to believe him and I will probably spend some time later trying to learn this classy dance.

There is also a new Kizomba Zouk dances virus. For some reason I see a lot of black dudes teaching it. So if you are black I guess this is a way to go.



As my last place of stay in EE was Kiev I will share a salsa party schedule which might still be up to date.

Tuesday: Carribean club
Wednesday: Casa De Ritmo (never visited)
Thursday: Carribean club
Friday: Chameleon Bowling club (my favourite, with super cheap wine and a big crowd)
Saturday: Depo club and Latin dance open air Shevchenko park 17.00 - 22.00 (if the weather is good)
Sunday: Buena Vista. My favorite place in Kiev. Very small (good makes you dance in close position), very loud, with life salsa music. I think the owner is Cuban his daughter is a Cuban Ukrainian pretty mix with curly hair, she is singing in this life music band.




If you go to any salsa congresses and watch salsa show, you will quickly notice judging by the surnames that every latin super dancing master has a sexy partner girl from Ukraine, Russia or Belarus. Draw your own conclusions.



*Quality of girls at salsa clubs will be lower than quality of girls in nightclubs.
*If you have met a girl you really like at a salsa club I am sorry for you. I have been through this myself. Be ready of semi-cuckolding yourself every salsa party.
*I do believe that a part of girls at salsa clubs are not there to hook up. They really like to dance. So this portion might be hard to game as they protect their reputation of salsa only very strictly.



In my beta days, I have constantly wanted more girls. Yet I knew no ways to do it. I could not approach and I did not drink any alcohol, so nightgame was utterly uncomfortable.
After I came up with idea of Salsa, I had a blast. I was banging a new chick every month and I though I needed nothing else, and my life is perfect. A girl number 5 ended up to become a serious relationship. Obviously after I had a girl I needed no more Salsa, but she was an addict. At first I was going with her. But lets say you want to stay at home for a night and just play Skyrim. Then you have your woman coming from salsa smelling of other men's sweat. I started to hate the whole concept of salsa parties. I was there to get girls, I knew majority of the guys were there for this too.
I gave my ex an ultimatum salsa or me. She did choose me but acted miserable for a couple of months, so I had to let her keep going to these parties if she agreed to dance salsa only and no contact dances(bachata, zouk, kizomba) In the end our relationship fell apart for different reasons, although salsa was a big contributing factor.
For a while after that I still kept a grudge on a whole concept of social dancing, but as I grew more interested in bangs and not in relationships I let the salsa back into my life. These days it is not my preferred method to get leads, but I like to keep it in my arsenal. It is a DHV if you talk about it with girls who don't dance. Just another tool in the box.
Now I believe that when you are chasing more quality girls, and you are not planning to impress them with your money or status, having a lot of small talents gives you an upper hand. Teaching a girl to dance salsa is great routine, you are leading, she is following.
These days I dance salsa only once in a while, but I think I will concentrate on it more closely once I am in Colombia some day soon.

Nice data sheet mate.

I 100% agree that its great for casual hookups and not so great for LTRs. In fact, if you get into a LTR w/ a non-salsa girl she will want you to stop dancing just like you wanted your girl to do non-contact dances only.


Salsa makes a great conversation starter, great DHV. I would definately encourage everyone to try it out.

Great Datasheet. i just want to give a personal experience. In my beta time, i only went to few salsa clubs and danced with girls, i got make outs(nothing more), but The thing is that I dance because I really have a passion for dancing.

I just spent 4 hours learning salsa and also my natural dancing style, I am a normal dancer. Despite of that when i go to to tourist spot, don´t blame me, but most of foreigners are terrible dancers, even some who are practicing for months. Then,if you dance,It is easy to call the attention of ladies, i got my first bangs in discos that have mix music.

Many tourist and also in your post mentioned something i heard all the time, Dancing is considered gay and most of guys don`t dance in a good way. Relate to the last question of GUAYACAN. My point of view is that it doesn´t matter your age, Depends of your effort, talent and passion.

You don`t have to focus too much to learn salsa or bachata exclusively for getting girls, enjoy the music, feel the vibe and if you have a natural talent, you will learn faster. With a normal level, You can be a decent dancer in many parts of the world, but In South America(especially Cali) you will extremely many great natural latin dancers, then you should improve your level by practicing.

By the way, your post clarify a little more my view of Eastern Europe, i am really interested in this region, THanks.

I started when I was 23.

@Drix: Before the story with my ex and my subsequent resentment to Salsa, I also had a passion for dancing.
The way you learn dancing in south America is totally different from EE. You learn it with mothers milk, you grow up seeing people dancing. I have first encountered Salsa music only when I started taking classes. That is why we dance like robots and just learn the moves. I am pretty sure if you see me dance you will see one of these terrible foreign dancers you are describing

However it still got me pussy, when I had no other way of getting it. And I did enjoy the process.

I can vouch for Salsa being of value in EE. My one bang from my week stay in Kiev was from Caribbean club.

I was with Vinny no less who approached 2 cute girls that spoke perfect english. We stayed with them most of the night.

He had first dibs as he opened but actually was not interested in the girl I thought was cuter.

Made some headway that night and managed to close the deal on our first date.

Personally I like kizomba/semba more as I'm more into the music.

I'll be totally honest... when I first saw this thread, I thought... Oh geeze... complete with eyeroll.


BUT

I gotta say, this was one damn fine data sheet! The more I read, the more I could see the possibilities
and real value in it. So I am not too proud to admit when I am wrong... and I was... This was a lot
of fun to read, and just another "bullet" that anyone could use to better themselves.

Never seen a Nordic girl dance, but judging by the way some of them walk and move (manly) probably it affects their dancing style.

EE girls might not be the most passionate, but they are still feminine, and extremely disciplined in learning moves.

Look even twerking scene is now slowly being taken over by Russian PAWGs Seems like every 10th girl in Kiev is taking twerking classes, that are now in every fitness club group workout program.
