So I've been learning Thai for a few years, and I still struggle at interesting small talk. It always feels like boring beta stuff, where are you from, what do you do, what music do you listen to. What kinds of things do you guys do in foreign languages that help your game? The one thing that has worked really well was learning a palm reading routine, Thais love getting their fortune told. However once that runs out i'm back to boring land.

Maybe respond with what you searched i've been on the forums for months and searched around for this topic. Instead of shutting me down maybe point me in the right direction? I already speak Thai not looking for beginner stuff, I'm looking to talk about how you run game effectively at mid to higher levels of language

There is a whole learning thai data sheet written by Rawmeo if you look it up. There's plenty of info on this forum.

Thai small talk doesn't really extend food, weather and traffic anyway.

This is probably the best language-learning datasheet on the forum and could apply (minus the Thai-specific stuff) to any language you are learning in an immersion in-country environment. A snippet:
