I know all the replies here are mostly in good fun, but can I be blamed for wondering why there seems to be a certain added glee whenever we're faced with a flesh and blood IRT to rip into?

Indians (and South Asians in general) seem to enjoy a particular rep on the forum for being asocial, creepy dweebs. Losers. The archetype of omega/betadom.

Contrast that with what my Dad was recounting to me and my siblings last week about having a Sikh dorm mate at university who would tell him to "take a walk" whenever he would routinely bring back a girl — almost all of whom were white and attractive.

In his culture, Indians were thought of as being daring, gung-ho types, smooth talkers. They're disproportionately represented among lawyers and radio hosts.

It's not just them dominating in an Asian context. In the Anglo country I live in, South Asians have always across as pretty alpha. At worst, their game level came across as on par with white dudes. My perception of that had changed in recent years; namely upon entering adulthood and encountering the FOB Indians, who did present with more of the sleazy traits.

Indians can be broken down into two groups, North Indians and the rest. North Indians consist of Afghans/Pakistanis and the few Punjabis in India. Sikhs are Punjabis. These are the ones that normally have 'alpha' characteristics.
