Becoming involved in an online discussion about why women decide to suddenly get tattoos, dyed hair, and metal piercings and in the discussion, I made the following statement:

In (location deleted), when a young woman transitions into a cartoon, it is announcing her embracing of feminism and the rejection of any and all male influence in her life. She may or may not be promiscuous (most claim bisexuality or being "gender fluid"), but if she chooses promiscuity, it is a revolt against the "patriarchy's" stance on traditional marriage. Also included in the rebellion is complete and total rejection of Christianity and adherence to either atheism or Wicca. In my (occupation deleted), the pressure doesn't come from men at all, but from the predominant feminist and social justice warrior culture in (location deleted)'s social life and academia.

In my response, at first I was not aware that I used the phrase, "transition into a cartoon," but now that I think of it, I humbly submit that is a great idea on how to reference women who deliberately become caricatures.

They have "transitioned into cartoons."

Language is powerful and if enough people start to use the phrase I think it would make most modern women think twice about what they are truly doing to themselves.

Now I confess there may be men here who like women so heavily tattooed that you cannot tell what their original skin color was as well as the odd neon hair and Hellraiser Cenobite piercings and it's not my place to judge, but I'm curious what most think of my proposal in labeling today's modern women as "cartoons."

Would it work or is it simply an exercise in futility?
