A decade ago, I was a daily Leykis listener. A few of his classic shows are on YouTube. Here's a good one entitled "Your Friends and Family Hold You Back".





My sense is that he didn't see the potential of the internet and how to make the transition. I remember when he bragged on the air that he would never have a blog or a web site. I think he's one of those successful people who think they know everything and just stop being open to new ideas. He could have gone much farther.

Regardless of whether a guy chooses to end the date, I don't see much merit in having a tantrum by storming out the door and leaving her with the bill.

A) You will be held responsible for the unpaid tab, not her, so you wouldn't want to be showing your face around there.
B) It's just not beneficial at all. She pulls out her phone, you pull your napkin, dab the corners of your mouth, stand, lean in and take her free hand. "Thankyou for meeting me. I hope you enjoy the rest of your night." Dump at least your share of the bill, button your jacket and leave.

Why? She might cut the call/text short as soon as you go to get up. If questioned you can say "in a lot of ways I'm an old fashioned guy, and I'll be honest, the phone thing is a huge red flag for me. Would you like me to hail you a cab/taxi?" Or she just sits there like a stunned mullet. Whatever.

"What a huge fucking white knight", I hear you saying. Well, consider it this way. You might get a call later in the week from the same girl who now thinks you're completely fucking alpha. You might get a call from the room-mate or friend of the same girl who heard the story and now thinks you're completely fucking alpha. And I guarantee the second time around the phone isn't coming out again. Probably she'll put out for nothing more than a stroll down the boardwalk and an icecream, because she's not going to be surprised that you don't want to waste money on her rude ass again.

But storming out like a hormonal teen? It smacks of those excuses your room-mate used to make the next morning to explain why they came home alone.

How common is a woman pulling out her phone to take an actual phone call in people's experience? I'm fairly sure that in all the dates I've been on, I've never had this happen.

It would frankly be more shocking to me that she actually remembered how to talk into it; even women in their 30s just text these days.

I certainly have had women pick up their phone to text during a date, and unless it's just her sneaking in a few texts while I'm in the john, I feel it's safe to say that blatantly texting during a date is extremely disrespectful, and an indication to eject with extreme prejudice at the earliest opportunity.

I've never banged a girl who pulled out her phone at the bar or in a club to text someone when I was right in front of her, never, not one.

Usually a little reminder is all that's needed when a chick is young and uncouth. When she's old, means she's not really feeling you.

It's a frame battle for sure, but it's also a clue to her typical behavior.

Sometimes I just make a mental note and use it as fuel. You can be a lot more ruthless when you don't care if you ever see the girl again. That's really a gift in my opinion.

2- Going to dinner on the first date is a no-no.

Tom is not as interesting to listen to as he has been in the past. He talks about politics way too much for me. Also, I don't agree with his three date and next her strategy. It's 2016 Tom. Women are giving the cooch away for next to nothing. Why should a man wait around for date number three to score with her.

When I wasn't aggressive on the first date, I never saw the women again. Women want to have sex just as much as men do. Unless you are looking to marry the woman, you should be setting up to score on the first night.

Yeah, these "rules" about three dates and "don't ever kiss her on the first date" like you see on BlackDragonBlog are ancient history.

It's all-or-nothing these days, the only purpose of the kiss is to hopefully escalate to the bang. Sometimes girls pop up again if I don't close on the first date, but they're generally older and distant outliers.

Correct. If you are not agrressive from the beginning, someone else will be. So many females have told me point blank that they prefer a man who goes after what he wants.

A lot also depends on the age of the girl. You have to realize 19-20yr are never ever separated from their phone. lf they send a text other than 'I'm fine don't worry' you do have to tease them or say it's rude, but getting mad is just dumb. They don't know any other way to be - but you can be the one that takes the Lead and teaches them, the way a man should.

Talking about when it's acceptable for a girl to be distracted while on a date was an unimaginable conversation 15 years ago. Sick times.

The only reason I even keep my phone in my pocket on a 1-on-1 date is if I feel like I may want to show her some pictures or videos I have in it during conversation. Other than that, I usually leave it in the car. Remember there used to be a time when you went on a date and none of your friends, family, or co-workers could talk to you until you got home. Even if it was an emergency. If you had a baby sitter watching your kids, then you call home from a pay phone or some shit while your out to check in.

Anyway, back to reality - I hate bitches who are glued to their phones. It's rude and disrespectful on a date. If a girl answers a social call or is texting/FB/IG/Snapchat on her phone while she's out 1-on-1 with me then I'll let her know I'm not down with it once and if she continues I'm out.

That being said - I'll put up with a girl being rude if she's also going to be an easy lay. If I'm getting mine then whatever. Fair exchange as far as I'm concerned. She does little to impress me but also gives me a nut with little to no effort then that's decent - but I certainly wouldn't consider a cellphone zombie any sort of relationship-worthy material. Fucking perpetually-distracted wastes of space.

My observation tells me that with girls nowadays this doesn't happen only on dates. I've seen girls glued to thier phones in the presence of parents, extended family, and at work, and for them it really seems that it is for lack of an exciting/busy life outside social media; the phone literally IS their life. It is A LITTLE less so with older women.

It therefore seems almost natural (to them) that such behavior would be carried on to other interactions, such as dates, that these girls participate in. I once went out with a girl that texted all throughout the date. I took mental notes, and didn't see her again.

It goes without saying that a man dating any one of these pyts' will without a doubt experience such behavior. And we have conditioned these girls to know that we will tolerate almost anything to tear off their pants. But even if you do storm away you can rest assured that any one of the other guys blowing her up on social media will be the one eventually be boning her.

Smart phone obsession among women has really become a challenge in this generation. Personally, i pay attention to her behavior early enough before proposing dates. That way i pick up any such proclivities early and screen them out lest I end up wasting my time and resources.

Goddamn you're too right. I was at a small party with my main girl last night and there were about ten women there in their late 20s and early 30s. I hadn't been out to a social event like this in a while so it's always a shock to me.

Fuck they had their smartphones out every 30 seconds Instagramming and texting away, taking selfies, taking pictures of their drinks and the dog and whatever caught their interest. The house was like a Vegas casino - push notifications and dings and beeps and bloops and bips of all variety. It was like I was attending a demented Kraftwerk concert.

A full third of these girls were WNB with my worst enemy's dick tattooed fatties and their phones were blowing up with Tinder and OKC alerts like it was the end times. Plate and I had our phones on us but they only came out once to get directions to 7-11, rest of the time we just slammed gin and tonics to deal with it.

I mentioned at one point that I might be deleting my Facebook account, and the whole room fell silent like I had just killed the baby Jesus.

I've scaled back on the "absolute rules" when dealing with women and try to be more flexible. If you implement this zero tolerance mentality you'll appear sensitive over a period of time.

I tended to flex my "red pill" muscle in my mid 20's about "the rules" and sometimes it backfires depending on the situation. You need more finesse because what enrages men, literally is a blip on the radar for women and it takes some time and experience to see how different situations play out.

These days I experiment more with observation vs. REACT and flip out if a girl breaks one of the "iron rules of Masculine men".

I can remember practically lecturing a group of girls on their behavior at a Christmas party when Return of Kings first came out and it almost makes me cringe BUT I did end up making out the host of the party and she wrote her number on my forearm.

The pendulum swings in terms of your game development. You start out overly aggressive in the beginning but it evens out & fluctuates once you truly pick up on each individual's personality.

I have broken phones over this shit. A chick answered her phone in my bed once, some dude, supposedly a friend. I didn't care, you don't do that in my bed.

I threw her phone off my apartment balcony and probably over the horizon. Threw her purse and clothes out in the breeze way, and locked her out wearing nothing but her panties. The whole event lasted all of 90 seconds.

As soon as she got a new phone later that day, she was calling me non stop. She called me a total of 68 times that day, apologizing non stop and asking for a second chance.

And that's how I met my current LTR who is ok with me fucking other women on the side.

Reviving an old thread because I've recently taken a hard stance on this. Had a 1st date a few weeks ago where a girl took a phone call from a friend about some bullshit vacation they were planning. Intellectually, I knew I should have gotten up and left, but my beer was good and I was concerned about leaving her the bill. The phone call soured the entire night though since I felt dissed, so it wasn't even worth staying.

If and when it happens again, I walk out and she gets the privilege of paying my bill.

I've never had women pull out there phones on a date. Never taken a call. I remember this one girl I dated always turned her phone off when she entered my home till the next morning. She was obviously banging other dudes but at least it was respectful that she turned it off while she was taking the dick from me.

I on the other hand take phone calls all the time. But if a girl does need to take a call it better not be over a minute.

Who the fuck goes on dinner dates now anyways.
